Yes, I realise the sibilance is rough in the skill spotlight section, my apologies It gets better towards the mid section/end - still working on that but it wont stop my guides from coming out I fixed the mana recovery of Umbral Ice in the Image(voice still says it incorrectly)

Thank you so much for your guide, it's been real helpful as I've been leveling blm. Quick question, for aoe, could you explain why F3 is used to start off fire phase instead of just going straight into F2 considering F2 grants AF3 by default? Not sure if I missed it anywhere, but so far that's the only thing I'm having trouble understanding

this along with 50-80 was part of shadowbringers dlc, the extended and short BLM80 goes through new additions, reworks, how-to and a single/aoe rotation scratch that, the reworked extended guide that goes over changes and a quick rotation of 80BLM should be found in the endwalker playlist its relatively new still, should still be easy to spot within my newer videos feed

Hey, new player here. You mention that the AoE rotation starts with Freeze, however Freeze is only usable under the effect of Umbral Ice, which isn't active if I'm initiating the rotation. Is there something I'm missing or maybe it got changed with Endwalker? Great video, helped me a ton :)

Thanks for this guide I am new to the game and I just wanted to know why the single target rotation is started with a Blizzard? What is the gain of that Blizzard at the beginning of the rotation?

Blizzard invokes Umbral(recover MP) as you cast Thunder - Astral Shift due to Fire3's MP-Cost is also lowered due to being in Umbral Rule of thumb for BLM at any stage/LV: Ice>Thunder>Fire, back to Ice and Repeat

After unlocking Blizzard3 should still keep it incase ur MP falls too low below MP required to cast a blizzard spell during Astral fire It is up to you though,

@@Teegres Hello, I am pretty new to this game, and I am currently lvl 40 Black mage. I see you say not to use transpose, but somewhere else, on some other guide I read or watched, that I should use transpose after blizzard 3 before casting fire 3. When I use this combo, my fire 3 does more, than if i did it without transpose, I even tested this in game. Because casting fire 3 with an astral fire stack, does more damage than without an astral fire stack. So, what am i missing? Is it not worth the extra dps on fire 3 to do the transpose?

F3 is not for dps unless used during firestarter procs due to high MP cost/low dmg compared to just F1 spam. If my memory serves, if rotation is done correctly at this lv, u should have enough MP after F1 spam to reset/B3. Try the rotation shown in video and/or description, see of it works for ya. Either, play w/e you're comfortable with.

Ok so one video I watched said NOT to use Fire 2 after getting Frost for AoE and just spam Frost.

Rotations in this guide are still effective and correct. You can deviate from shown as per playstyle but spamming ICE will drop dps severely.

@@Teegres ok I'll follow yours because it just doesn't make sense to drop a whole spell. So opener at the start of a fight (pre B3) is B1, Lightning then F3 followed by F1 spam the back to frost spells till full up then wash rinse repeat till B3 is available.
