FFXIV : Can You Solo... The Abyssal Fracture ?

As you can see, I skipped the Voidcast Dais as it seems impossible to solo due to the split party share aoe that gives you a magic vuln. Even with 50% echo and all of my cooldowns, I wasn't able to survive it once. You can use your invuln' to survive that mechanic, but you just end up dying to the next one he does in the rotation, too close to get the invuln. cooldown back.

Nice! I initially gave it a shot on GNB just for the heck of it but expected the doom at the start to kill me, which it did, guessed PLD might be able to get this just cause it has more self-sustain, happy to see that is in fact the case

@@rjohn1277 Yeah, Doom is survivable on War too. But I didn't manage to go much further as he throws his party line aoe right after, and I've already used pretty much all of my healing cooldowns. Probably still doable on Warrior, but Paladin is just so much better at this.

Yea PLD is so good in situations like this where you need massive self-sustain. I could potentially see WAR getting this too but you'd have to burn invuln on the line stack at the start and I assume after every time the boss applies Doom if it follows Doom up with line stack. Don't see GNB getting this for the time being till it gets more self sustain and definitely no way DRK is doing this currently lol

@@rjohn1277 DRK has a few niche scenarios where it's the only one able to accomplish things, but yeah, when it comes to pure self-healing, it's not even an option haha

Decide to give this fight a try on PLD after seeing your video and I was able to get the clear with no echo. I went in expecting to get it around 30% echo since ik that's what you mentioned in your video might've been doable (but opted not to do to avoid not dragging the fight on) but was surprised to get it below that. Surviving the cycle of mechanics before phase transition at ~25% was difficult and forced me to drop some damage to focus on MP generation and Clemencies but I was able to get it. I was ilvl 730 which likely helped a bit with surviving the damage.

@@rjohn1277 Yeah, the gear probably made the difference. But still, congratz, takes some skill anyways. Honestly, I gave it just one shot no echo, and then I'm gone straight for 50% so the video doesn't last 45 minutes too, cause it's already long enough XD
