There is a Free Trial version. It has limitations, though, to keep the RMT from abusing it (i.e. can't trade with other players, limit to 300,000 gil, can't PvP, etc.). I have a 2nd account that's on Free Trial just to see what's it like and I've managed to finish the original game and now on the next expac, Heavensward. You can still enjoy the story and a lot of early content can be solo'd with NPC bots.

@@PokeUFO Ah! Well, I hope your wi-fi can still handle it. Also, if you have a good plan on your cellphone and can use it as a hotspot, I've used my potatoe Laptop (a 7 year old Lenovo Y500) and my cellphone hotspot to play FF14 when I'm traveling and staying in hotels/motels (I don't trust public wi-fi)

This game isn't even graphically demanding, engine was built to effectively run on 11 year old console hardware.

I don't even play, but absolutely no one thinks WoW is a FFXIV killer (the only thing it's killing is itself)... Also talk about a nonsensical and disrespectful comment on someones tribute.

I used to play wow but the game and company suck. Wasn't ff14 that made me quit it. WoW just sucks and thats why people asked for classic, but even that didn't stop them adding wow coin. In wow you wouldn't have people paying respects to somebody because they just behave like you which also makes it suck.

@@ElderingLive Welcome to the WoW community. If you ever play it, this is what kind of people you can expect. Blizzard basically neglected their community and game, its full of bots, gold buyers and requires a million addons to be able to progress in end game content. The only people left playing are these brain dead imbeciles that forgot why they play an MMO. Basically jealous they can't have anything like FF14 has, community wise. They're not sure how to criticize it so they just call it a weeb game, but if you look at WoW, its a furry game, pandas, worgans and now dragons, nothing like it used to be, so that's kind of a funny criticism and just shows how blind they are to their own game that they're stuck in due to their nostalgia. Blizzard designed their game to waste and require all your time, so they don't often play other games, which is why they attack other games instead.
