Clear and concise, love it. Other crafting guides ramble a lot and assume you know some stuff, even when beginner guide. Would love to see more crafting/ gathering content. For me more about endgame from a New player perspective (so you hit lvl 90 what now?). I'm 90 at everything (except fishing). Crafted 1 set of classical for DRK. But man those end game crafts are hard and need a lot of buffs and materia melds. And the resources you need still take a lot of grinding and knowing where to buy what.

I finished my fisher relic last week. I am getting started on miner and botanist and I already bought the first alchemist one. My other crafters or not yet 80. Def high quality storylines for all the crafters so far. More people need to craft

Will definitely be back to review this video over & over! I'm a super-newb to FFXIV (lvl 13 Archer/12 Leatherworker) and my main focus is crafting. (I'm a mega crafter personality in RL too!) I have reading comprehension disability so this video will help a LOT as I try to learn my way through! (And now I know it's not timed, but based on that durability scale!)

Great video! Of course we would like to see what macros you choose to use! For me, it was after getting all my DoH to 90 that i started to search for macros. Actualy learned alot how different content creators uses those different abilitys and when! Still learning allot! Continue your great work!

When I'm crafting for the Ishgardian Restoration, I often use Hasty touch. I don't feel like using special fancy abilities while 98% of the time (as long as I'm reasonably geared), I can finish the job above its minimum required quality. That said, I haven't taken on the level 80 master recipes for that yet. So, I will probably be relying on some of the other abilities more there. The last time I really struggled to make something, I was actually at a disadvantage for it (gear was way too low.) I don't think the game would even let me attempt it these days lol.

Great video! It was very helpful that you went over all the abilities! Definitely learned some new things. Would love to see more crafting and gathering video's. I'm especially curious about the macro's for crafting (I've actually never used any macro's) and about combining abilities (like what it exactly does and any advantages/(possible disadvantages).

Great overview of all the abilities. If you want a suggestion on how to make a better video. Capture a bunch of crafting you do and explain in real time why you use each ability and why. And maybe at the end you could show us how to make a macro that follows a path that works for some craft you are making. I am sure once I start putting in some real time it will come to me but to see someone doing it and explaining their choices during it would help me a ton. As with many things in this game there at so many buttons. And just like most combat jobs knowing what "combos" you use crafting and why would pull all the abilities together so I use them correctly.

Thanks for this, I always learn something new and would enjoy a macro video. Crafting is not explained well in the game for sure. I assumed at first that durability would be the durability of the finished item - should have given it a different name!

hmmmmm I think if you are asking that question, you might be at lower levels still? like with any job, all actions are under the actions and traits menu, the second option from the very main menu you use for anything, it would be hard to miss it?

I am a beginner, I read all I could find in the game and still can't find how get or go to or invoke or wherever any workbench. And ALL videos, yours included doesn't give this information. While quality and alike are easy to find as they are clearly written...

Any workbench? There is no workbench required when you were a crafting in this game. You simply just have to unlock the job and go to your menu.

well the thought is to not spend tedious time on crafting content that is way below you. Current content is still difficult, but I am not spending 1 hr crafting things for level 70 content for turn ins
