Im one of the ones thats actually dissapointed with summoner, because feels lacking to get lizzard 2.0 compared to getting one of the primals we already know like Alexander Odin, Anima?. if they wanted swords we could have gone with thordan and the knights of the round instead of bahamut with different wings

Solar Bahamut kinda looks like we took out a dungeon party and fused it with Bahamut, the paladin, Machinist, and a Sage. We needed to feed Bahamut.

Solar Bahamut is certainly a mystery for many of us. I do have some thoughts and theories as to what is is, how it came to be, and what the intent is. So, like many Summoner mains, I was expecting a new Elder Primal Summon, like Alexander, or Odin. Instead, we get a variant of Bahamut, know as Solar Bahamut. This would not be the first time that Bahamut has had several forms. Things like Neo Bahamut / Zero from FF7 are certainly one example. I believe this is one such variant, using a precedent set in XIV, with that of Lunar Bahamut, its clear dark counterpart. Lunar Bahamut was born from Meracydians Dragons, tortured under the influence of the Telophoroi and their towers, twisting it into a dark aspected version of the original. I believe that Solar Bahamut is a direct response by us (WoL), by re-envisioning it, fuelled by the aspect of light. I believe this is the first instance of Summoner “creating” their own Summon, using existing Primal Aether within them. This is also I believe, a show of out mastery as a Summoner, by displaying our control over the aether from Primals we have required from across the expansions. I Also believe that Hydaelyn to be an influence on the appearance of Solar Bahamut. By looking at the attack animations, one of them was using the sigil for “The Blessing of Light”, given to us by Hydaelyn herself, and being tied to the 6 primary elements, as represented by the crystals that occupy the rings within the sigil, whenever the sigil appears in cutscenes. Also, by looking at Solar Bahamut’s design, we see 7 swords making up each wing, making 14 swords in total. 14 swords, 14 shards, not a mere coincidence I believe. I also think it is a nice reflection of everything we have experience from the end of the Shadowbringers Patches, to the end of Endwalker, a lasting reminder of our experiences, represented in a symbolic Primal of our own design. Of course, I have no idea of this be accurate or not. But these are some things I’ve observed, and while I am disappointed I did not get what I expected to get, I am happy all the same with this new addition, and look forward to summoning Solar Bahamut on my journey in The New World.

gladiator and marauder use to have a rez out of combat

If they take summoners rez away, maybe they offer a class unique rez, you summon your party member instead of rez them, has a timer they have to be properly rezzed by the end of of theyre dead again. while its active you cant use the other primal summons, so its not op.

I'm in the other camp in that I want res to be taken away from all casters (and dps in general, so don't give it to another dps). RDM being weaker dps than other casters with "they have a fast res and can chain res" as an excuse is really dumb, especially since all relevant content has body-check mechanics that occur pretty much instantly after a big damage attack, so ressing is useless; but it's still used as an excuse for RDM to not do as much damage as the other casters. Having dps (and in the case with res, only some dps) having abilities that encroach on healer abilities always leads to "toxicity" (for lack of a better term) imo.

Oh man a copy paste clone of the other summons....it's lame and lazy, not a lets go moment....it follows the same stale formula, little blast big blast that are near identical to Phoenix and regular Bah....but oh the colors are different.... man.....what innovation...if you actually sit there and watch it, its actually really lame...once the newness wears away I know for a fact more and more people will feel the same...there is nothing truly special between the major 3 Summons, they open and close their wings a bit and then little blast....big blast.....Imagine if we got Rahmu, Shiva, Alexander....and had abilities that shifted to them like Garuda, ifrit, and titan.....but nope, just another rinse and repeat of bahamut

I hope they do get rid of rez. Rez tax is a horrible thing and only hinders both sum and red. Leave rezing to healers.

@@TheJamieellis That's like the majority of the reactors. Most only know like 2-3 jobs and just coo at the rest. It's fine to include those parts too.
