PREAACH ABOUT SHOHA II. Like... 100% its my one argument to why "Button Bloat" isn't a valid reason... Just UPGRADE Shoha YES. I miss the gauge management... what made me enjoy SAM. and the animation was sick and cool.

cuz your character didn't look messed up from the change. Mines handsome beautiful emerald eyes, to cold dead stare of a cereal killer. what the hell happened lol.

@@HyouVizer My character looked pretty different when I loaded up my exact saved settings into the benchmark, but after changing a couple things, I was able to easily get her looking the way I like and am used to. Just takes a little tweaking, so its a good thing we're all getting a free fantasia!

Wow, this comment section... Personally, the graphic change doesn't bother me one way or another. It'll be weird for a few hours, then my eyes will ajust and won't even notice it anymore. Also cute hair BTW

Your comments on button bloat really killed the vibe for me. Keyboard players are unbelievable... More than a quarter of the community is either playing on PSVita or with a wiimote. Consider speaking on topics you know, like shopping, eating hot chips, charging your phone, and LYING

To be fair, being pissed about how one's character looks with a graphical update is understandable and valid. Graphical updates for characters have killed MMOs before, so I can completely understand the XIV devs being very deliberate and careful with it here.

Was the reactions overblown? Sure, certainly it was. But the underlying reason is valid.

@@nevy4256 Pretty much every person I saw complaining was taking screenshots of their characters in very extreme harsh lighting (or just generally bad lighting, as the lighting in character creation has never been good which I would think everyone already knows). Harsh lighting can make faces look practically completely different from any angle, and even less harsh lighting will still change the way faces look. It was also said that what was shown in the benchmark was not the final result, and on top of that, everyone is getting a free fantasia to tweak their character to get them looking how everyone wants. It is a complete - and much needed - graphics overhaul, so things are going to look a bit different. I'm also curious as to what MMOs you are referring to that have been killed just by graphical updates for characters? I cannot imagine an entire (or majority) playerbase quitting an MMO because their characters' faces look a bit different.

I'm sorry but i have to harshly disagree with your opinion about button bloat and being simplified or narrow it down, for me this is a good change as i'm playing the game for like 4 years already as console player healer mains. The buttons we had are A LOT, even i hurt my finger bcs i have to scroll down through crossbar that i need to press here and there. It feels like you never consider the console player that exist in the game at all and how they manage for their cross hotbar buttons. Maybe next time you should consider talking about that or not whatever you do, it's PC player supremacy again anyway.

I've played with many console and controller players that are high end and even world prog raiders and they manage just fine? You might prefer it, just don't blame on being on controller because then we enter the skill issue realm.

@@guifmurb i'm not trying to blaming for being console player, but if you know the button mapping for console it's a bit harder to manage than just put the button on keyboard and bind them and using macros at that too, i don't have any issue for switch cross bar from 2 layers, if WMXHSB could setup for switching 2 layers at once instead of 1 i'll be glad for not having simplified chain actions like these, i'm just saying button bloats it's a thing in console, and if you still say i have skill issue maybe you should try it on your own not from other player experience.

@@KaeyinSe id beg to dissagree ive been a controller player for 9 years and the only button bloat this game has ever had is in people's brain. they literally give you 3 hotbars at the tip of your fingers. this is literally more than anything most pc user have access to. thats 3 hotbars of 16 buttons vs pc having 12 buttons per hotbars. try something else. maybe it was "hard" for you. hard is subjective. but button bloat? not at all friend im sorry

@@KaeyinSe you can have LT+RT / RT+LT for 1 full extra hotbar and Double tap LT Double tap RT for an extra hotbar making it 3 x 16, 48 buttons at the tip of your fingers vs pc who only get 36 for the same amount of hotbars.

I do not play on controller, and so it is not something that I am able to give an opinion on at all. It's not "PC play supremacy." Would you like me to say "I don't use controller but hey controller players I'm thinking about you"? Not sure what opinion you want someone who does not use controller to give. There are countless players who I know both personally (and play with on a near daily basis) or from seeing them world racing/streaming that play every single job on controller without any issue. I'm sorry that you struggle with keybinds on controller, but that is a personal issue, not a game issue. I myself struggle to make more keybinds that I can comfortably reach and press while playing, but again I recognize that that is a me issue, not an issue of the game. Also, at no point did I ever say that no abilities/skills should be removed. In fact I have repeatedly said that I understand things have to be removed or changed or consolidated over time as new abilities are added, because I understand that you cannot continue to add more and more buttons forever - regardless of whether you play on keyboard or controller. For example, I liked when they put the gnashing fang combo on one button, I was fine with them putting high jump and mirage dive on one button, and I have said that I am good with them consolidating skills that way to add other new GCDs/oGCDs. I think you are airing your grievances at the wrong person.
