Callin it now, Solution 9 and the areas close by are related to the 12th shard as in that some of the 12th citizens found a way to get to the source before their calamity (the second umbral calamity which was lightning aspected) also explains how alien and advanced the structure's are compared to the rest of Etheirys.

Long time FFXI player here, I'm not so fond of it. Alliance raids are incredibly short and I don't think they will do 11 justice, but you never know. I'm still a bit wary.

Hope they're good. XIV danced around having XI crossovers before. Shadowlord implies we'll be treading in Beau. Glacier, Xarcabard and Castle Zvahl. Wonder if Iroha from the XI event will be our tour guide of sorts.

@@Vincent-nl4wcyou can get through rise of zilart fairly quickly. Thats associated with the raid. All other expansions may/may not be involved. The whole story for all expacs will take forever. Mainly because of travel time and all the quests

It would be really cool if we could glam gear regardless of job as long as you met the base requirement to equip it on that job. There's a bunch of dragoon armour that I think would look amazing on a paladin for example.

Solution Nine kind of reminds me of Esthar from Final Fantasy 8 in terms of it blue hue environment and the overlapping roads(from the looks over it) over head, it nice to see Esthar getting some form of recollection.

I know it's unlikely, but I would find it so funny if Arcadion let us do a battle royale type fights against old and new party members. Imagine a Thancred & Urianger fight, or Y'shtola and G'raha, another fight against Estinien, the twins, etc. I think it would be super interesting, but who knows, maybe we'll get something similar just by playing through Dawntrail

The gear pictures shown after the new combat gear are shown in the default order of crafter/gatherers: Carpenter; Blacksmith; Armorer; Goldsmith; Leatherworker; Weaver; Alchemist; Culinarian; Miner; Botanist; Fisher. Those are likely the base Level 90 crafter/gatherer gear.

The city of Solution 9 is in the same for Zidane’s Limit Break from Final Fantasy 9. It looks like we have a reference point. Also, I feel the Viper job is the type of job with ZIdane, as well.

The areas have a very Americas feel. Has bits and pieces of things from 1600s-1800s North, Central. and South America. With of course that one neo-NYC exception to the timeframe.

I wish this got me excited but its just kinda... eh? the island sanctuary equivalent seems to be crafter/gatherer exclusive which means I wont ever touch that, nor am I ever touching the ultimate raid or savage version of the 8 man raid. I also never played ff11so there is no nostalgia for the alliance raid. This expansion also doesnt have the benefit of endwalker in terms of MSQ content hype. I am basically hoping the field operation content ends up being really good or its gonna be endwalker all over again for me where I come back to play the 7.0 patch, finish the MSQ and then dont play for the entire rest of the expansion.
