Hey there, fellow RDM here, currently stuck on E8S with my raid group and looking to improve since I'm still grey parsing. Looks like there's a few things I need to tweak on my rotation compared to yours, and I pulled up your FFLogs. I was kind of curious why you chose to equip the Edencall Hat rather than the Augmented Crystarium Halfmask? I'm also curious what your melds are aimed at since the site doesn't show that. I read that you're supposed to Prioritize CRIT, DIR, then DET and wanted to make sure I have that right. I'm still pretty new to raiding and don't want to be the reason why my group can't progress so any advice would be great :D

Hi! I hope i can help you c: For melds your priority is Crit then Dhit and then Det, so yea melds are correct Right now i'm using i480 hat simply because i'm too lazy to log in and buy the i500 (i lost something like 2 weeks of tomestone so i didn't have enough currency to finish my bis at the time) but yes, use the augmented crystarium hat don't do like me v.v I can give you some general tips for Rdm like: keep your gcd rolling, work on your uptime, study the fight until you know exaclty what happens in every part of the fight so you can adjust yourself and lose the less amount of uptime possible, use procs and don't waste/overwrite them, use your oGCD on cooldown in the right order ( Fleche > Contre Sixte > Corps-a-corps > Engagement/Displacement) This are just some general tips, if you want more specific tips of what you're doing right and what you're doing wrong i need to see a video/log or something like that You can check this guide if you haven't done already -> docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1JqEFEsWcvZr2gYwAmtW4344qZJ8dMTlxyTiWwMSL2NM/mobilebasic Rdm basics are pretty straightforward, the tricky part is optimize every single little aspect of the job Rdm has a lot of optimation to work with if you want to do big dips, in that guide you can find a lot of information about It The rest is just experience :)

My raid leader told me I was doing ok, but I've been sitting at an average of 13k dps, and at this point she thinks I just need more practice on the actual fight and making sure I don't slip up on keeping my mana balanced. I have a habit of panicking and moving before my cast is finished enough to still go off lol

@@yumimakai It's normal at the start don't worry, keep practicing until you do it automatically For the Dps don't think about It too much in progress, learn the mechanics well keeping in mind that you don't have to stop casting The rest is just experience so keep It up c:

im late but the answer is both. You Hold R2 or L2 and then press either the d pad or the corresponding button. Theres more to the crossbar like R2+L2 or the Double Tap but thats the basics.
