Babe wake up, new Synodic Scribe lore video dropped

The Scribe has returned - I've never seen such a bookworm so fervent on foot in pursuit of knowledge. The prospects of unknown cultures and history of Tural is a veritable city of gold in its own right for a scholar such as yourself. The Studium will be most pleased with your future findings in this expedition. 💙

What seems to be lost of so many people setting foot on this land is the nation is 80 years young. 80 years is a life time, less for many of the people on this star. Many smaller nations struggle to last this long. The idea of a peaceful transfer of power often doesn't happen with nations a fraction as big. And yet people think someone wanting to keep peace if a weak idea for a ruler. When a lust for power and status quo ripped the Garlean empire apart BEFORE Zenos took over. We have no idea how bad the fight for the crown was cause we had a realm to rebuild and then a Dragonsong war to end. I might not put this as my personal highlight of this journey but I look forward to this nation's growth with the new rulers.

There were a few things I noticed while playing through the DT story which got me consider the possibility that the end of the WoL and the beginning of Azem's journey. The WoL came into possession of Azem's crystal. Then prior to fighting Elidibis we used the ancient incantation in sundered form we took up the seat of Azem. Venat having been the previous Azem prior to the sundering, her mentoring the WoL ended when her duty discharged she went to the Aetherial sea. We were reminded that the Azem's crystal is now permanently in our possession. Spoilers for DT incoming. Those few things came to my attention with the story of Wuk Lamat's growth, first From ARR-Endwalker we were told Hear, Feel, Think. in DT through Wuk Lamat's growth we experienced what was meant of Hear, Feel, Think. Remember when Wuk Lamat and Koana's camp were side by side, this was when Koana confirmed Hear, Feel, Think.. The next odd thing within the story was Azem's crystal was front and center, in our face, when we weren't in a raid. The final piece which had me consider the growth from WoL to Azem is when we were asked why we do what we do and one of the answers was; "For the love of the star." And a final piece is Azem's symbol appears on the mysterious ancient key Sphene is using that can open gates between the reflections of Etheirys. That being said there was this interview with Yoshi Pwww.finaland.com/?rub=site&page=news&id=6801 Being I can spin some good theory and I may be wrong, however Venat is no longer guiding us. The designation of the adventurer is now the Traveler.

It's going to be exciting to see how the Golden City is going to integrate into all the other tribes and cultures of Tural. SPOILERS With Gulool Ja as Alexandria's young king, technically the entire continent is already united under one royal family. And with it's electrope technology, it'll spring the continent's technology forward in unpredictable ways.

Welcome back lore master! I liked your video on Turali history. Would you consider doing a video on which reflection you speculate Alexandria and the Unlost are from? I found an interesting video on KZbin about it and would like your thoughts. Plus I’ve seen videos about which reflections are still in the universe and which ones no longer exist because they were rejoined due to a calamity. But I’m not sure how we know exactly which reflections are around and which are not aside from the 1st and 13th that we’ve visited. Would you consider making videos clarifying on these two topics? I really appreciate your storytelling and in depth knowledge of XIV lore. Thank you for sharing your gift with us!

One of my biggest questions is how did the Yok Huy (and also the Ishgardians) build a bridge with support structures that extend down into the chasm of aether between Yok Tural and Xak Tural? Did they have to construct massive pillars off-site and drop them in place? I'm assuming they couldn't just go down there and build up.

I wonder what the other "Golden Cities" Emet was referring to? Was it just Everkeep? Its last level in particular? Or was there more? Like say the other cities and their people that the Ancient Ascians visited but were not apart of before the Sundering? Could they have hidden away rather than comfront either the Final Days or the Primal Gods of the Ascians make? Then there is the mysterious civilization that eerily follows a similar culture and architecture of Ronka thats found on a reflection and not on the Source. Could these people moved further north? Hidden elsewhere?... Or perhaps if they are a civilization that stems or was part of Ronka, migrated to another reflection? Or, heh, perhaps simply Godbert Manderville will make a new resort here in the New World that could be mistaken as a Golden City of high entertainment! XD

Yay a new video! It's nice to have such a clear timeline video to reference when thinking about all this stuff. And I thought maybe I'd mixed up that the reason the Yok Huy expanded north was in search of the golden city, but I guess if they'd been everywhere in the South, where else would it be 😅. Anyway, I really enjoyed the world building of the first part of the expansion, and I'm looking forward to the tribal quests to come. I know I'm going to enjoy coming back to these lands in the future, as well. Also looking forward to new videos!

What do you think of the Ronka Ruin in Tender Valley? Are the Ronkas a pre-sundering civilization? Two separate civilizations who just happened to develop in a similar way? One civilization who traveled between the source and the first?
@Nuinwing3 ай бұрын
Ronka is not a pre-sundering civilization. Ronka was founded by a tribe of Ronso(Hrothgar) who later invited other races into their empire, an empire that would eventually fall some 3000 years ago(time in the first, not Source). The ruins at Tender Valley are mostly built by the Yok Huy, to venerate the Greatest Serpent of Tural. The First is a reflection of the Source, so many similarities exist between them, things and people that are similar and different at the same time. Some are very similar, like the Train nerds on Source and the trolley nerds on the First. Most things appear similar but function differently, Lalafell and Dwarves, Kobolds and Mord, while some things are similar but have gone a different path, like: Gerolt & Rowena and Grenolt & Mowen. My opinion is that Ronka is a reflection of the empire of Yok Huy.
@panda69073 ай бұрын
Scree!
@kayymoi3 ай бұрын
@@Nuinwing The Yok Huy found the Great serpent ruin, they didnt build them. They decided to build around the ruins after starting to worship the serpent! I like to believe that pre-sundering there was a civilization that happened to worship the great scree serpent, and then after the sundering happened, they happened to branch off and become the scree-worshipping civilizations on the First and Source and likely the other reflections. I dont think its possible that the existence of 2 screes can be a coincidence.
@Nuinwing3 ай бұрын
@@kayymoi I think assuming the ruins were pre-sundering seems like a huge leap of fancy when you consider that the Yok Huy found this place around the halfway point of the 6th astral era and that as far as I'm aware no pre-sundering ruins or items have been found on the Source and of the first 2 astral eras as far as I know only some cave paintings and a few magical items(not even sure of these) have been found. It's much more likely that the ruins were from the 5th or 4th astral eras and more than likely were abandoned during the 6th umbral calamity because of the global flood. I will say that one thing is most likely pre-sundering here, the serpent itself! My guess is that it is one of the creations of the Ancients but for what purpose they made it, we can only guess, I think given its cutesy appearance and aura that seems to invite people to like or even worship it, could mean that it was made to be a companion or a guardian for a child or some of the lesser sentient creatures of the time. Another thing that interest me is that the temple in Tender Valley had 3 identical altars, each with a vessel on them, could it be that there were once more of these serpents there? Also with how this thing can do the Tulidisaster, could it have some connection to Valigarmanda? Also worth noting is that the Ronkan serpent is a friendly and helpful creature, while the Turali one is an aggressive one, is this just the difference between the Source and the First, like with for example Gerolt and Grenolt or something else? Also sorry for taking so long to answer, RL can demand one to focus on other things.

What an incredible tale as always synodis scribe but I'm kinda curious about this new world did the ascians ever interacted with the new world? and If they did did the new world ever experience some of the umbrella calamities?
@SynodicScribe4 ай бұрын
If the Ascians did interact with the tribes of Tural then solid records haven't popped up yet. As for the Calamities, yes. We currently have no reason to believe Tural was completely unaffected by the Umbral Calamities.

I've been looking forward to dawntrail content from you! I was so hyped when basically every thing in your last video you mentioned had found a way to make an appearance in the expansion. I know you were apprehensive about where the story was going when they announced Solution 9, so I'm curious. How do you feel about the events of Dawntrail? I'm sure you're going to post videos about this in the future so a simple "Dawntrail Yay or Nay" answer will suffice!

Yeah I was shocked by him still being around too. He's gotta be pushing 100. haha Most races, if healthy, can live till they're around 80-100. Races like the Elezen can live up till they're 150. And Viera can live even longer than that!

What are the Scribes opinion of not one, but TWO blue Hoobigo sightings in the Crystal Tower of Ancient Allag, and what this might mean for the old empire's more far afield activities and possible genetic meddling with the natives of Tural?
@ArcherGuest3 ай бұрын
Encyclopedia Eorzea II page 187 states: "With the third astral era came the rise of the Allagan empire, and it was but a matter of centuries before the nation had conquered most of the three great continents, as well as portions of the new world." There is no doubt Allag was present in the new world (unless it has been retconned), so there is significant room to theorise.
