This is what I've been doing personally. Made 2m without any real effort; just making two of the starred turn in item for the day. One for me and one for the board. You don't have to go crazy.

did that as well and kept screenshots of the various items I ended up crafting every day so I can return to the list after I reach cap. I ended up making enough gil to ensure I could purchase the ingredients I needed throughout leveling, craft and meld my level 100 crafting gear AND gathering gear and still end up on top of what I had pre-expansion.

if you dont want to do any crafting just spam expert/leveling roulettes as tank or healer and use the clusters to buy materia to sell or hope for the 1mil minion drops on some dungeons.

Another thing to go for are the hunt/fate shard materials. They have a faster depreciation (the lower level ones only are good up to a certain point,) but the higher ones like Gargantua hide and the like will be needed in large supply when the patch drops in two weeks for the crafted raid gear. If you want to go the extra mile for a much larger profit, making the base pre-crafts at high quality. They are needed now, but will be in VERY high demand as those who aren't hyper crafting for their static won't have the pentamelding needed to make the items without HQ pre-crafts, and many MANY people will be too lazy to do that. So profit off the lazy!

Idk about that listing bit. I posted 20 of the same item today, but put them in 3s for the GC turn in, went out to do some errands, and they all were sold by the time I got back 3 hours later. Sometimes you gotta think about the convenience factor when you list. I think the rule he was mentioning makes sense for stacks of 99, but if you're wanting to move stuff quick, you best get in the mindset of the lazy player you're trying to sell to. CONVENIENCE :D

Depends on how fast stuff is moving like it's it's 3pm at like 40 units sold of that item then yeah stack it up. I use 3 as a rule for people who aren't really examining it too deeply. But you are right sometimes u add a ton more or sometimes skipping is the best move too

I’m in pentamelded gear from last expansion so while I’ve been doing crafting and gathering collectibles I extract material once I’m spirit bonded and I sell them 1 or 2 each since most people don’t need huge stacks. I use my scripts to get higher tier materia and sell those too and the of course I sell mats or crafted items for collectibles/leves. In three days I’ve made 3 mil

I have every battle, crafter, and gatherer job to 100. I did every MSQ and sidequest too. I never used any of the armory coffers yet but this could be a good way to make gil from the MB without crafting as long it is needed for a GC turnin for someone else.

I accumulated about 27 million gil before the expansion, most of which was from levespamming tsai tou vanu and crafting my own. I made like 400 of them and the syrup needed and got 5 levels of cul yesterday from making them. You don't get as much exp from leves from last expansion but you still get 10k gil every turn in.

27 million, 10k per turn in, 12 leve allowances per day, so..... about seven and a half months to collect that 27 million, or about 3.6 million per month. It's reliable and easy, but there are faster methods for getting gil. Such as selling the Tsai. You get less per craft, but you're not limited by leve allowances.

@aethon0563 i agree it isn't too efficient, but it is super easy and something i can do without having to monitor auction house activity. Also where it's not a lot of gil, it's still more than most people will need to get whatever upgrades they want 6 months into the expansion.

Wtf It worked instantly Update: It took me a few days to 1rst lvl up my Amorer to actually craft some shit I can sell for a decent price but now its goin quite well and 2ndly it took me also a few days to figure out how much and what Items sell well in a time span of about 24 hrs but now I see at least 100k daily! Of course If I would get to max lvl with my Armorer i'd make probably at least 500k a day but thats good for now! lil fun fact I got so invested into the marketboard trading game that I started making a Glam that screams Mafia.....I really should dial it back lol

This is something I really should do more... The daily trade-in, I mean. I usually stay up late gaming anyway, so I'm up when the timer resets; I should be buying mats then, making one for myself to trade in, then another 1 or 2 to put up on the MB. Unless doing it that early on in the day is unwise? I wouldn't be able to readjust it until much later in the day, unless I use the FFXIV App and spend my daily Kupo Nut to change it.

So out off curiosity, once your own classes get leveled towards 100, is there a good way to tell what the current item(s) are in the lower brackets? For example in the 91-93, 93-95, etc?

If I'm not mistaken there is 1 item for 1 job for that level. It doesn't change until you level. You can use the link I put in the description and always compare it to the marketboard (as you should) and see if there's low competition and that it's selling quickly

I've made 200mil in about 3 months of playing.FF14.. But this isn't my 1st Rodeo. I'm a veteran player of Final Fantasy 11 It was probably the hardest game to make Gil in but it was doable. I played it when it first came out for many years. Now back to FF14 this game is really easy to make Gil in vs the old one. So far 14 is a great game love the raids and dungeons.

Its when people seem to just want to annoy people and sell stuff for half the price, then someone else comes along and drops it another 1000 and so on until the item is worth less to craft than just sell the raw mats. Its ridiculous and some people just love to ruin others gaming experience. Why would you not want to maximize your gil. I bet the people who do this don't even make any gil and just do it out of spite

I just get an extra retainer, find an Item that has 0 on quantity. Post the item 5x the value, undercut myself with another retainer by posting same item at 3x. Easy money. Sometimes I dont even craft the item. Just go and buy it at 1k off a NPC, flip it at 10k normal quality and 17k HQ. Basic principles of create demand and supply 🤣. Well it works in hame cause there’s no consumer laws lmao

Are all servers as bad as each other for undercutting? Less congested I'm guessing are better? I'm on a congested server and about fed up after today and ready to move. People doing exactly what you said here, make like 100 of each alchemy item, clog up the market board and drop the price to a quarter, instead of being smart and making say 30 of each pot at a time. More than likely your competition is trying to dissuade you and others from selling in their desired markets, and from the sounds of it, it may be working. People are dumb as you said, and they are jerks, but on earth and eorzea, we must be able to maneuver through them and still find a way to the top.

I started the game a little while ago and i was leveling one of my crafters when i realized people were overpricing the items way too much for beginners. I proceeded to grind for 5 hours and completely crashed the market! What was selling for 1.5k-2k gil is now not even breaking 500. I will continue to do this with low level items as people target them the most when trying to make gil. I get people want to make money but overpricing lvl 10-15 crafting neccessities is od as hell, and lazy to boot. I am still making money while helping beginners. Although i am sacrificing profit, im still making a good penny.
