she may have called him LITTLE Lion, but that tone was of respect cuz hes the son of Varion and the new king of the Alliance, which makes Varion the Old Lion and a form to recognize these 2 as proper rulers and icons of their people

She could have said "love" but she could of also have said "serve" both fit in that statment but I would have to say "serve" because of her tragic back story which is a very good back story that goes all the way back to the 2nd war.

I do think she meant to say "love". She and Nathanos "Blightcaller" Marris were alleged to have become lovers right before Arthas took both their lives and raised them as undead. As he was human, their relationship was looked down upon even then. Allegedly Nathanos was the first she freed from the Lich King's control, and the particular ritual was supposed to keep him from rotting like the other forsaken. His obsessive love for Sylvanas is one of the things he retained in undeath, and being unrequited is probably the reason for his bad attitude and jealousy toward "champions". (You will experience his jealousy in Legion quests.)

Yay Galaxy vid! Sylvanus has a rough history. Ranger General and defender of the Elves, to unwilling servant of Arthas the Lich King, and now a banshee who staves off death at the cost of other Valkyrs. As a character, she has a lot to work with, and I am interested to see if she is a puppet of the Jailer, or if she herself is pulling the strings :)

@@poro9084 She wasn't really an important character in Warcraft 3 - she only served as a temporary antagonist in the Undead Campaign, as the defender of Silvermoon - and even in the expansion, her freeing herself and claiming Lordaeron was basically filler content while Arthas traveled to Icecrown. She only really started being a character of note in World of Warcraft... Perhaps because people loved what little they saw of her character, or perhaps it was always the plan for her story.

Whoo! Not sure if you know about Nathanos, he was a human and her second in command and boyfriend in life, was raised into undeath and stayed her second in command. He got a cinematic that was only inside the game during the Pre-patch event for Shadowlands, called Blightcaller's Fate. (He was called Nathanos Marris when he lived, went by Nathanos Blightcaller afterward. We don't currently know his whereabouts.

Author Christie Golden was hired onto Blizzard staff so what she writes is now considered WOW canon. She has written 2 WOW novels that serve as lore filler between WOW expansions: "Before the Storm" and "Sylvanas". The Sylvanas book claims that Anduin reminds the banshee of her long lost little brother. The Windrunner family used pet names for each other in the form of little this or little that. The implication is that Sylvanas displays a certain fondness for Anduin by calling him "Little Lion", a name she began applying to the young king during Legion. Varian's heir does not reciprocate that counterfeit affection. To the contrary, Anduin has concluded that she is beyond redemption and must be eradicated from Azeroth. Even his daddy had not gotten that far in his thinking. But to be fair, Varian died before Sylvanas torched Teldrassil and most of the Night Elves with it. He could not know how low she would stoop. Calling Anduin "Little Lion" is more condescension than affection. Following the Legion expansion, Sylvanas sets out to conquer Stormwind City. That is the capital of the Alliance humans where Anduin and Varian Wyrnn have both been king. With Varian dead and not there to block her way, Sylvanas reckons she can defeat his son and take Stormwind. Her plan is to give the rich surrounding farmlands to the orcs as war booty. She means to slaughter all the human occupants and then raise them from the dead to fill in the ranks of her Forsaken army. This is not respect or affection for Anduin Wyrnn. She burns Teldrassil while she is enroute to Stormwind. She never arrives because Anduin has received word of the destruction of Teldrassil and marches his army North to confront her. He corners her in Lordaeron which is where the BFA expansion begins.

I kind of get where Sylvanas is coming from (not that I approve of her actions); when you believe that life is nothing but pain, the idea of an eternal Afterlife - ANY eternal afterlife becomes a truly terrifying prospect. At least as far as I've understood her motivations, Sylvanas seems to be fighting for the idea that no person should be forced to endure more pain than they can bear.
@valkyriesardo2782 жыл бұрын
Sylvanas dreads pain and suffering but she is not above inflicting the same on others in an effort to escape her fate. Such is the act of a coward.
