1st - Sylvanas and Anduin, 2nd - Denathrius betrayal. Btw I do not know who wrote the story and whether you/others are believers or not, but this is actually something like a mockery of the real life situation from spiritual point of view. What I mean is that idea/concept that everything in one's life is predetermined and even though after death souls are judged for something they were anyways obliged to do without free will which is preposterous if true.

If she wants to spread undeath and what not then it kind of goes back to that time in Cataclysm where Garrosh asked Sylvanas about what separates her from the Lich King... And like, at the time her answer was "I serve the Horde"... She can't exactly use that answer though any more and just like Arthas she'd be wanting to make everyone undead... The only answer she could really give is "I'm not Arthas, the person who I hated for reasons that are not so different from what I am now doing to people by deciding they should all be undead."

I think the difference now is that she realizes what/why Arthas was doing what he was doing (although he wasnt even in control of his actions) she doesnt need to serve the horde or anyone but herself, and theres certainly no need for her to explain herself.

Honestly, she wasn't doing it to serve the Horde, that's simply the answer that could best serve at that moment. Even that scene wasn't about Garrosh or the Horde, it was specifically, and only, about giving the Forsaken a way to procreate and continue as a race, in general.

That is absolutely the case, I have no doubt of any kind. I think Sylvanas does, too, but her goals align right now. And let's not underestimate the Banshee Queen, she may have plans for when the Jailor makes his true intentions know. She is one of the most brilliant strategists that has ever lived, I doubt she is so naïve as to think this was all there was to the Jailor's goals.

Her defense of Quel'thalas is an absolute disaster where she made one horrible choice after another. Her conquest of Gilneas was only possible due to the worgen and the cataclysm decimating the kingdom beforehand. She only took Teldrassil due to the NE army being on the other side of the continent. She lost her capital not once but twice. She got herself killed or almost killed several times. She wasted two opportunities to kill Arthas. Her plans like with Eyir, Derek or the San'layn were thwarted. She was deposed from the position of Warchief and even lost the support of many of the Forsaken who worshipped her not so long ago. The only victory that can be attributed to her skill is her war against the Dreadlords. I am not a Saurfang fan, but he was absolutely right. Sylvanas Just. Keeps. Failing.

Machine of death went silent after Argus died. It was still working prior to this as we see due to certain souls inside the Shadowlands. It's widely speculated the big red ball that hit the Arbiter was Argus' soul.

The Arbiter: Has justly and objectively judged uncontouble souls from the dawn of reality. Every soul in Shadowlands is perfectly happy with where they were sent. "I don't trust the Purpose it sound kinda evil and broken." Winter Queen: Beloved by her people, has taken care of countless nature spirits, but seems to have some beef with either Elune or Eonar. "I don't trust her, she has like, a disgust in her voice." Sylvanas: Allies herself with the literal Devil who spawned the Scourge. Murders millions and throws them into the Maw to be damned and tortured for all eternity. Her interests are aligned with monsters such as Denathrius, Mueh'zala, Kel'Thuzad, Gorak Tul and Helya. All she does is in service of overtruning a cosmic system that has worked perfectly since it's creations in hopes of replacing it with God knows what. Hypocritically forces people into servitude in her quest for 'Free Will'. "YASSS QUEEEEN SLAYYY!!! Omg Sylvanas is doing the right thing and we shouls all help her!

actually no, people aren't "happy" in the shadowlands as you claim, leveling in bastion just proves how the kyrien are sick of the patch and Purpose, Uther wasn't supposed to be sent to Bastion but he was either ways.

​@@mosho64 Can you give me a source saying that Uther was not meant to be sent to Bastion? The reason why the Forsworn are a thing is because of Frostmourne. Uther did try to forget his past and ascend but was physically unable to due to the Maw's influence. This made Devos doubt the system and in turn convince others to do the same. Kyrians are supposed to ferry souls, thus they need to be impartial. The souls chosen for Bastion are those who are fit and would be willing to abandon their past for this cause. Once again, Uther was trying to forget. The process is painfull and difficult but it is necessary. The Forsworn are weaklings who were offered an easy way out. And seemingly msot of them are even unavare that they now work for the Jailor. Had Lich King not been a thing, Uther would die by normal means and would have no trouble ascending. Everyone loyal to the Archon is perfectly happy with abandonign their memories and the new life they live. Everyone in Maldraxxus is happy to be there, same with Ardenweald. Ravendreth is the exception since the place is meant to be purgatory, but souls that attone and DECIDE to become Venthyr also seem to be more than happy. The System was not broken, it worked perfectly but was sabotaged by the Jailor and his allies.

@@mosho64 Uther absolutely went to the right place. However as we saw in the Bastion cinematic, his soul was literally split in half- his more noble side that forgave Arthas and wanted to remember him the way he was before his fall was sucked into Frostmourne and it's this part of Uther we interacted with in Halls of Reflection in Wrath. His more angry, vengeful side was freed by his plea to the Light to save him and ended up in Bastion, but because it was his more vengeful side that hadn't moved on from Arthas's betrayal, he was corrupted. If he'd been his whole, entire self, he more than likely would've become a Kyrian the normal way. Bastion and the Kyrian aren't bad in and of themselves- there's a logic in letting go of the burdens of their mortal lives because we've seen what happens when Kyrian with grudges and anger are allowed to retrieve souls- they snatched Arthas up and rather than deliver him to the Arbiter for her to judge where he should go (which probably would've been Revendreth to atone for his crimes), they direct deposited him into the Maw in revenge. A kyrian SHOULD be impartial. It's just the concept of letting go of the positive memories of one's life that's the problem in my opinion....and apparently later on the Kyrian story campaign the Archon admits that the Path has problems and will probably be reformed by the end of the expansion.

Anduin is a person who sees the good of the people like garrosh in war crime novel because of this sylvanas trusts anduin and respect for him. And I think jailer use sylvanas and anduin is the way of sylvanas redemption

I have not even gotten 1/4 of the way through Revendreth yet so Im no where close to even knowing how the specifics of who Im "working for" lol All i know is based on this cinematic I felt as though I could FEEL that Im able to be a loyalist through joining the venthyr. Clearly you have never loved Sylvanas enough or you would understand why there are still soo many people that adore her. Open your eyes and observe what she is actually doing. Yeah. Pyromancer says that Argus crafted the shadowlands. If wish u could watch some of his vids or even do a reaction on them. He even called that Sylvanas would connect Azeroth to the Shadowlands long before the Bolvar/Sylvanas 1v1.

Sylvanas is right in what she says, but absolutely wrong in what she does. You have to consider that the shadowlands are for ALL mortal souls in the universe, so she literally damned trillions (!!!) of souls to eternal torment in the hopes that the jailer might actually create a "just" system (which i think we can all agree, he is totally not gonna :D). So yeah, nice idea, terrible execution.

I dont agree with that and I think it's too soon to assume how it's going to play out. Blizz has made it extremely clear in the lore that Sylvanas is a mastermind strategist, and I think they've built that up for a reason. We will just have to wait and see. She more than likely has a plan

And also, in a dev interview, it was stated that the power of death is not subject to time like life and the other powers are as the extreme end of death is oblivion, where time would obviously be meaningless. What sylvanas claims, at least to me, is that while you are alive, you are subject to whatever the "true" timeline has laid out for you. We can see how this is true as there are many Caverns of Time instances where we are supposed to maintain the "true" flow of history. Not only history, but we also see an instance of the future where we fight Murzond (however you spell it) the leader of the bronze dragonflight and keeper of time. He claims that going insane is his unavoidable future -- it is his destiny in the true timeline. Sylvanas' goals, I believe, are to undo that. After all, how fair is it, when in life, you are subject to the "true" timeline, and then in death, you are subject to the Purpose? You really have no autonomy. In Sylvanas' case, per the true timeline, it was her destiny to have her kingdom destroyed, be brutally killed and have her spirit torn apart and warped and then to go to the shadowlands, where the purpose decides that she is to be put in the maw for eternity. That's pretty messed up. Break the system and restart it.

It's even similar to Illidan's story where he was born with golden eyes and "destined for greatness" and then the cinematic with Xe'ra where she tries to make him embrace the light and "fulfill the prophecy"... its like umm yea okay thats really messed up :P at least Illidan seems to be on the same page as Sylvanas in that sense, where he believes his destiny should be his own, he IS his scars. We have to carve our own paths. Not the ones that were set out for us. We dont want none of this prophecy trash. Im good haha :P

It's interesting how Sylvanas can see beyond life, like it doesn't really matter in the end. Clearly the burning of Teldrassil and her other acts were part of her deal with the Jailer. Feed him souls, so that she can acquire his powers to beat Bolvar and open up the Shadowlands, all so that she can fix the flawed system. Life is pointless until the system is fixed. People will say she's evil because she's done terrible atrocities and ended countless lives, but in her mind she is actually saving everyone. Very clever.

its so true. Its all about the greater picture. We can kind of view it irl like if we had to burn one entire city to save the rest of the WORLD, that is not evil. Its either the entire world or one city. I dont enjoy the fact that she burned teldrassil because I actually love night elves and teldrassil was a massive part of my experience on WoW, but I can still acknowledge and understand why she had to do it. Nice that someone else can see from the same point of view :)

@@kamilapiotrowska3132 nothing is by accident. Watch the rejection of the gift illidan cinematic, its the best way to show how our fate is already decided for us. Luckily Illidan says fuck that and takes control of the situation, but it shows how much the cosmos interfere with our fates. Just like how when Sylvanas jumped from ICC and went into the maw, she was able to finally see that everything that happened to her was destined from the start. It was already predetermined that she would be killed and raised by the Lich King. Just like it was predetermined that Arthas would become the Lich King. None of that is by accident. These are just a few examples. But the point is that Sylvanas realized this when she killed herself and came back when the val'kyr took her place in the maw.

Xavius not so much imo, there were more powerful souls than him that went to the Shadowlands before, I can't see Xavius having a soul powerful enough to shut down one of the most powerful entities in the universe

She already answered that in the cinematic. We've never had free will. Nothing matters at this point. She wouldnt care regardless. Genocide and torture is better than countless planets and souls being forever doomed to this cycle. Not many have seen the afterlife like Sylvanas has. She has died enough times and witnessed enough death and torment around her to know the system is flawed. All the characters who dont understand her (Anduin, Jaina, Saurfang, Tyrande...etc) have NEVER experienced death. They dont know what actually happens when they die. They dont understand we are just fuel for the shadowlands. She is trying to SHOW them, so they will UNDERSTAND. She is also trying to show that no amount of hope, light, faith, power...etc, you're still just gunna serve the cosmos in the end. Youre just going to die and live eternally with no free will in the afterlife. Why does "reality" (Azeroth on the cosmology map) even matter? We are quite literally nothing. Reality is a mere spec of our existence.

You stated it, all I am asking is for you to reference that act so I can look it up on my own, as well. As far as I know, she's not done that. And why is it not a good excuse? If you had to choose between 1 person dying or 1,000,000 people dying, you would choose to let the 1,000,000 die to save 1? That IS what you are saying, because Sylvanas takes a LOT of lives here to save ALL life, everywhere. Even if the entire population of Azeroth had to die for her plans to work, it would still be worth it if it saved COUNTLESS lives all over the multiverse. I didn't say her killings are something to be happy about, but they are the lesser of the evils that have to be done. Please let me know where I can find a reference to her acts of genocide, please?
