I watched this as I was queueing up for the first time. Was pretty nervous cause I had to be maintank cause mid fight the maintank got knocked off but your guide helped keep me alive. We managed to survive with even with 3 swords thanks to the amazing healers. Surprisingly we cleared it without wiping! Thank you so much for making this video.

Thanks for the guide, we cleared first try without any deaths. Once the boss chose to target me as off tank, I just turned on tank stance and kept aggro for the remainder of the fight. I like having a bit more to do than being a tank pretending to be a DPS. This fight has some damn good music.

To be honest it would be nice if the off tank had more to do in a lot of these trials. At least here there is a specific OT element. In the majority of trials I wonder why SE put us in with 2 tanks in the first place.

Usually I just see who puts on tank stance first. Or if it's a new leaf I ask if they wanna tank or not. Alliance raids are the worst though. Miss me with the constant fighting between tanks for the bosses.

Interesting fight. First deaths were my DRG and the primary tank when we got flung off the platform. Fight continued til the secondary tank died, DPS and healers fought bravely til a loan DPS got the last HP. It was amazing but nearly a wipe. Thanks for another great guide.

I think the third trial encounter was quite easy but I do remember the last one in HW being quite a solid fight. I expect the guide for that will be quite long as is here.

thanks for making this! from the looks of it you just made it recently so i lucked out because i had been referring to your videos for strats to the required dungeons/raids that are part of the MSQ. i just got to this part in HW but for a recommendation I would say to focus on the fights that are required by the MSQ which is most of them from the looks of it. I did use another guide for the three crystal palace raids which was interesting but i persevered. i am having job regret though because my comfort zone is ranged dps and im leveling a dragoon but maybe i will switch when i finally unlock dancer ;)

I'm covering all of the trials and then dungeons from the MSQ (at least the ones I have access to myself) and will then start covering the optional content afterwards. The raids are also on my radar but I have very little knowledge about them to be honest and I still have a lot of the MSQ to finish. And yeah I too want to see what Dancer is like!

I watched this right before my first ever run of this dungeon (I main white mage). the first time I made 2-3 mistakes but we easily cleared, so I instantly queue'd up again for round 2 where I made only 1 mistake x'D. after that, 3rd run 0 mistakes and 0 deaths on the team. really cool fight, but man it warrants a guide beforehand for sure!

Made it through without much trouble thanks to this guide. The only times I was actually close to dying was during that second phase when the ost started with the dude singing. I was paying so much attention to that I kept missing a lot easily avoidable attacks 😂 So far this is my favourite trial

As the first trial in HW, this was also the first trial I did as a tank since I wanted to do DRK. Watched this guide to prepare for it. I was pretty nervous and the other tank had a fancier icon, so I went off-tank. It was going swimmingly until the very end, when the main tank got booted off the platform even though he was right next to me and a functioning fence. I was next on the threat list, so switching was no issue. I'm still wondering if that was truly accidental, or if the main tank did it on purpose to give me a reason to jump in--definitely helped build my confidence either way. I still regularly end up as off-tank though, mostly because I figure it's better to let the more experienced do it.There was that one time in Emanation, when I got a fellow sprout tank and we kept flipping our stances until the pull.

Hey nice, sounds like you had a good run! Typically there's a massive health difference (about one third) between players doing these fights for the first time vs people who have been scaled down so as a tank going through them it's usual that a first timer will off-tank, simply because people always tend to gravitate towards higher health. When I get these as a tank, I will usually just ask what the other player wants to do, occasionally the first timer wants to tank and does so completely without problem. Most of the time people don't reply, so you can just look to see if you or they put on tank stance first and wing it. The best remedy for confidence is experience though so keep at it! I will also add that I wouldn't be able to remember a single time where I've wiped in this game and people have complained for even a second about it - so I don't think anyone would get mad if you tanked and died, even if you failed a mechanic and feel like everyone is staring at you, they're probably not :)

Good stuff 👍 It's not the hardest fight but it's more challenging than others around this point, and you can really suffer if people overlook the butterflies. The overlapping aoes with Swift Slaughter also catch people out more commonly - at least anyone standing in the middle area not knowing where to run.

Yes this is during the Heavensward content, the 'Shadowbringers' part is just because the current live game is Shadowbringers so this guide is technically how to do the Heavenward Trial, when playing Shadowbringers. And of course if people see Shadowbringers in the name it'll obviously sound more recent and not covered in cobwebs.

Yet again another A+ guide by Mr TSDS. Handy that it is so recent as I was prepared for it being a more difficult levelling trial with many players probably not knowing tactics. I was OT and knew exactly what to do, the group downed the adds and I think we had 1 death. Yes I recommend watching a second time as there is a lot going on with this guy. A great fight though if you're ready. Watch those fences!!

@@TomScottDoesStuff no worries Tom, thank you though as guides like yours make a great game even greater. Knowing basically what you are doing makes something easy out of something that could be difficult. Can't see when I'll ever return to WOW as this is just too much fun.
