To clarify for the non-Germans: Kinderpunsch (Children’s Punch) is the non-alcoholic version of Glühwein (mulled wine) where one substitutes fruit tea and apple cider/apple juice for said wine, making it safe to serve (usually warm) to children attending the Christkindlmarkt (Christmas market)

Sounds kind of like what we usually drink around the holidays. We always called it wassail (sounds like wossle) , non alcoholic apple cider, orange slices to give it a bit of zing, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Put it in a crock pot or on the stove over low heat and leave it to simmer for a few hours. How much brown sugar, cinnamon and cloves honestly depends on how you want it to taste. Just remember that the longer it simmers, the stronger the spice flavor will become. So you either want to add less and let it simmer a long time, or add a lot to get the flavor quickly, then remove it. Or you can add a lot, forget to remove it, then end up making a mad dash to the store to buy more apple cider to dilute the intense spice kick. Oh, and don't assume you can just add some orange juice in place of the orange slices. Do NOT do it. Tried that once - never again.

The mount can only be used for 1 character and you can only get the rewards once per Twitch account. I think I'll pass thid time. It's just a recolored version of the cash shop mount (account wide version) that you can't use for all characters (not account wide)

Another year and no Christmas tree. Its wild that the only ones available are from 2014 and 2015 and you can only get them on the store. Other than that there are a handful on the market board for 20mil a piece. So lame. That said I am surprised that they did a barding and a poster, but other than that the mount is a marketing piece. It's just wild to me because they do this with the Halloween stuff too, yet in FFXI we got shit like Christmas tress every year, and there were like 4 or 5 different ones. Each of which wasn't that hard to get.

Disappointed in the Choco Barding. Though I guess it was about time to get new holiday barding. I don't think they've had barding via holiday events from the events since I've been playing. The poster looks massive. I do like the mugs though. Interested to see what the song sounds like. As for what I would have preferred, a fireplace with stockings and some decorations.

I like the barding, but as a free player the housing items are very boring. Why not make the item a food you can cook all the time? One of the reasons I went on to play Genshin instead is the free housing with characters from the game allowed inside among other things. I'll still check out the barding for my Chocobo, but its just not worth coming back to this game with so little incentive for free players who can't afford to buy a sub to play the full game.

I'm not disappointed in the rewards really but XIV's events always seem weak to me. As someone who has played WoW and FFXI the holiday events in XIV always seem like barely an afterthought. In Xi this year's event has 11 mini games scattered around the world. I understand that Xi is older but XIV is over 10 years old now. They could also have things to do during these events instead just a few cutscenes.
