Her soul is basically breaking down, leaving deep cracks and for the wol only ardbert could save them and for this gal, she needs someone powerful and without said cracks. With the "disease" being caused by overuse of heavy elemental aligned beast souls to the point where you have to "retire" by the time you're around 20? Betcha the other fighters have chips in their souls already

The lyrics are so great. They show just how much of a contrast she's turned herself into. She laments the idealistic girl with dreams she used to be, while also claiming she's given up on them entirely. She states that she alone will defeat anyone in her way, whether it's one or a thousand men, as she quietly screams out for someone to help her as she loses herself. She's dying, and she knows it, but the fighter in her won't give up. She'll rage against her injust fate as long as she can, with everything she's got....but in the process giving up on any morals or ethics she once had. Even if it means murdering someone else to survive, she will see her final will through to the end.

Personally, I can’t feel sorry for her at all. Eutrope is not just marked by her determination to cheat death, but to do so at ANY cost regardless of how monstrous, and purely for selfish reasons. She did something really stupid, realized it has consequences, and is now willing to sacrifice anyone but herself. She’s clearly being built up as a sympathetic character, but I honestly resented her from minute one. Pretty much the only reason I don’t want her in the ground is because her sisters don’t deserve that.

And that's deliberate- Arcadion doesn't tell their combatants that they'll die at the ripe age of 20. She found out and is desperately trying to escape it. At least with Panhaima and Liturghy + whatever you pair it with, you can continue to attack xD

A really cool thing about this song and overall raid theme as a whole is that it highlights the darker side of pro wrestling and the toll it takes on their bodies. It's not uncommon for pro wrestlers to retire early from suffering constant impacts and stress to their body & end up needing physical assistance at such young ages. Seeing this manifest as "psychonekrosis" which is a degenerative disease that slowly deteriorates the fighters' soul feels like a really neat allegory and Eutrope desperately seeking a solution to the point of trying to take the WoL's soul shows just how terrifying this outcome is to her. Neat stuff, love this theme & the character it goes with :)

As a Paladin main myself, I love to see Paladin leading the charge. As for the song itself, it depicts Eutrope a girl, who had big dreams, but now, in desperation, she is trying to save herself, even if it means giving up everything. But it also echoes, that she wants someone to help her. I find that foreshadowing, because I believe that during the Arcadion raid story, we will actively attempt to help her. In a more funnier note, when she says "How are you still standing?", it really made me laugh, considering I've lost count on how many times different villains and other characters have been wondering that throughout the entirety of Final Fantasy XIV. It has become a running gag, at least in my opinion.

Me too, even if it is possible that we don‘t get a second fight. E4S for example was 12-13 mins long but didn‘t have a second phase. Meanwhile E8S had a second phase but both combined only had 12-13 mins of runtime and no checkpoint. Point being, we‘ve had fights that were a bit longer but didn‘t get a second phase as a results. It‘s only in EW that they just kind of only gave us 2 phases.

When a rejoining happens nothing is left of the shard at all. It also doesn't fit timeline wise since that was 2nd calamity and the shard wasn't on brink of destruction until after the 5th calamity.
