Glocks and Ars are probably some of the easiest of them surprisingly enough because they work pretty much exactly like the real thing so if u know how to build an oem one u can make a printed one with barely much more effort

this could be a stupid comment and a stupid question, but why didnt the FCG 9 creator make a 22cal version? 22cal is cheap (much easier to find for us in europe, and can be baught for 1000's for less than 100euros) same home defense, and with almost inexistant recoil, it would assure a 100% safety on 3d prints + to find a very cheap silencer to get the perfect home defense and "survival" weapon

22 isn't nearly as reliable as 9mm, and rimfire magazines would be more difficult to make I think. I think it also has to do with 9mm being one of the most popular rounds, granted 22lr is definitely easier to get. However I understand your sentiment, there is a guy making a MODX 22lr variant that would probably interest you. I have some other fun things in the works focused on people who can't get 9mm or even 22 easily

@@popinmo Plus printer and filament? ~$400. ~$200, without that stuff included. Granted I got an RP9 barrel for $10 which really helped bring the cost down. Sometimes you can find the parts for cheaper locally then shipped but that really varies from place to place

Let's see...I learned to build firearms the exact same way John Browning did, with hand tools. HE made fully automatic weapons with a FILE, DRILL, and HAMMER!!! I can too. Consider Dr. Hiram Maxim (a dentist) who in 1877 invented the World's first modern machine gun one year after John Browning perfected the lever action rifle! Knowledge and more importantly IMAGINATION cannot be repealed or revoked. In PRISON "Carbine" Williams imagined the design of the M-1A Carbine and BUILT it IN PRISON with a file and a hand drill. And it WORKED!!! No blueprints, no paper drawings, no plans, just in his head.

Ehh initial start up cost $400~$500. After that you can get ~$100 for each subsequent one. Mind you that this expecting you don’t own a drill or drill bits, screw drivers and the printer itself. You can also do more things than just make guns too with a 3D printer

Everything was done in PLA+. Probably would be better but usually people have issues printing in CF-Nylon that other issues arise

I know from using the EVO brace on my mod9, it is definitely on my todo list one of these days. ive always disliked the massive buffer thats apparently needed on the FGC. its not a fully, so there is little urge for me to opt for such a blowback design in a semi. if semi, mod9 and…. hell maybe just the tac 9 “tac daddy” and “tac mommy” would be preferred build. however if I dont want to use a fgc9 in semi i could always just MAKE IT a fully in which case jt is the best smg carbine ever and damn simple to make

It’s called a buffer tube. You can attach a stock or pistol brace depending on your legal jurisdiction. It’s purpose is to house the recoil spring

I'd agree but with that but after destroying 5 drill bits on failed bolts I have way more appreciation for people who can actually do metal work. The 3D printer lowers the skill barrier greatly and overall still deliver respectable results. There was this project the "PPDW-9" that looked like a traditional, full-metal gun home build. Curious to know what ended up happening to it but it looked like a project for people who actually have real metal work experience
