seeing how both of these games honestly don't play very similar, it is a little bit of a surprise that Sonic is sticking with Infinite. That said, the most likely reason why he's trashing everyone is because he's using the game's system of getting the opponent in a nasty setup/hard to blockable. And thanks to the tag system he can play as sloppy as he wants and he won't be punished all that bad if he's tagging in Rocket.

Ninja well yes, both games are mechanically different in a lot of ways, and you hit the nail; sonic abuses the pressure from Jedah's wheel/ Rocket's wix up to trash anyone who's not ready for it That's why I'm kinda comparing it to Skullgirls, Sonics team heavily resembles his team from there, mobile characters with pressure potential. (Filia/Fukua/Double) and that just get worse with a literal box where you aren't allowed to get put from a some long seconds.

You can't tell me he is making bad play doing this. The fact he is abusing the system better than everyone else who is ALSO trying to abuse it because it is the allowed and preferred method to win tournaments, where other people want money too - and still come out on top, shows me it isn't. He has played other games a whole lot where one bad whiff or jump or anything will result in him losing, namely games like Injustice 2; where unless you are bane or something and they don't block your almost full health bar strings, you can't just sit with box pressure a few times and win. SonicFox, when you see him take out people trying to hop in the air, and a lot of advanced, move back and forward at surprise time (go in slowmo, and see how he transitions the rocket behind people from one rocket command up, then duck, dash, now on other side - hit in about a second), and all over the board. He plays very clean, very fast, and he thinks and strategizes it. Sure, he has dominated the set play, and he has perfected it - that is the current meta; he understands that. But if you think he is somehow weak in some other form of the game, I have a bone to pick with your twisted version of reality. And if you really want, I can show you screen caps to prove you very wrong.

i didn't say he was playing sloppy, just that thanks to the game's mechanics he could play somewhat sloppy and still be alright. Look dude, i know SonicFox been in the SkullGirls community for 4 years now and i can tell when he's dicking around during a match outside of the teabags and what not. Yeah he's smart and he's able to do a ton of crossups/fake crossups on you if he wanted to. But for the most part Sonic has been sticking with 2 specific setups during a match and thanks to Infinite's system he can just use those two setups to win a match. So in my opinion Sonic isn't playing the game nearly as serious as you would like to think he is.

This kid is a genius for real. He is dissecting this games mechanics so quickly that he already outshines Justin, Chris G, RayRay and FChamp at their "supposed" best game. And he is doing it with characters that are actually cool and not just for rose gardens, sword loops, or hidden missles. I have no doubt he would have dominated MvC3.. Punk doesn't have enough experience with setup heavy/tag games. He is definitely skilled and will be high up there in terms of placement in majors but he really needs to practice a lot of marvel to get on the level of setup/lockdown sonicfox is at right now. Sonic has just had way to much experience playing skull girls and other anime that play more similar to MvCi.

okay i really want to set the record straight here. SkullGirls and Marvel Infinite do not play anything like eachother. The only thing that SonicFox has lifted from SkullGirls is concept of High Low Hard to Blockable Setups. Other than that, Infinite is an open sand box for Sonic where he can basically do what ever the heck he wants and keep himself safe [to a point] with the "Tag anytime, anywhere" mechanic. That's what he does, he goes in, uses either rocket's chain gun super or Jedah's pinwheel super to carry you to the corner and then set up for his 50/50. And since it's so tight, thanks to SkullGirls teaching how to perfectly stagger moves and assists to catch the opponent when they are in the corner, Sonic can then go into a rocket specific blockstring lockdown that has multiple reset points if the opponent were to do something.

The only time I really took an offense to SonicFox's attitude was during this last game vs Punk. +Fangs Claws That is a short list, you missed two more to add to the "best player of X character in Injustice 2". Give the man credit for where it is due. He is indisputably the best Deadshot; on account that he literally beat a tournament full of the best deadshots; with deadshot to prove a point. Anymore he doesn't want to play with it, because he finds it retarded (oh, it is) and pulls it out only when he is deadshotted and loses. Also, clearly the best Red Hood player too. And he may not be "the best" with all of these characters, but in winning matches with them gave them all good justice, even some very decisive play with them: The Flash, Catwoman, Darkseid, Supergirl, Superman, Joker (omg, this was a funny match when he beat the best Batman player, Forever King with Joker in the lore style battle of arch nemesis). And he might have played more, but those are the ones I remember him using to beat at least one or two people in tournament with before. I don't think anyone has done that, and that shows his overall skill and knowledge of the game and reactions... I want to see him eventually be able to do that over here in MvCI, where it isn't just one team; he can literally pull out any characters out at any time to counter your pick like he has in other games. That will be the time where people won't have a choice but to say he is above and beyond the best... So far, he hasn't gone past Jedah/Dante/Rocket yet. But that being said, early on in INj2 he spammed Deadshot and supergirl (in beta it was SG) too. So perhaps in time he will do similar in MvCI when again, he perfects those to the fullest and understands the game a lot better.

The cost is that there's a small delay for the base character to where he stays on the screen a little longer and he can be hit for as much as possible before he leaves the screen...nevertheless it's still OP if you know how to use it right and protect the other character so he leaves and you can switch back and basically go into a loop

Whether or not you love or hate him, Fox is highly skilled in every fighting game he touches. He Dominates in NRS titles, he does fairly well in Capcom games, excellent in 3d fighters such as DOA and Tekken, Played well in KI, and has even played some KOF at a decent level. He's truly gifted.

I think SonicFox's sheer dominance in this game shows how lazy and broken the mvci mechanics are. Not even mega crashing keeps you safe, and that was supposed to be a defensive measure against rushdown. Active switching for free is OP; way too forgiving to dropped combos and a nightmare when getting rushed down. Reality and Space stones are the only ones that see play, and everyone being able to otg so easily is asking for shit like this to happen.

I think it is closer than people think. Did anyone see JWong playing the top 8 of the SEAM tournament? Very crisp, very clean, playing a style I don't think I have seen SonicFox go up against before on MvCI. And making it look easy. I very much look forward to the matchup.
