A mistranlation on my Aoko's demo vid (my bad) caused a bit of misunderstanding (mainly the one that says she can block Oberon's Eternal Sleep). So here I am trying to correct my mistake.

its clear that nothing is ever suppossed to prevent eternal sleep. They are making sure nothing prevents it. Completely hard coded to always bypass anything.

@@literalgarbage8014 nope because the NP drain and okita summer def down are also BUFFS and they get negated. Eternal sleep and Protea's grow remove are just hard coded to never be prevented. Its special cases.

That effect is coded as a buff, not a demerit, otherwise she would be crazy good with buff removal resist.

in salome's case its a matter of duration. it will only prevent the first 3 turns, leaving the remaining 4 as normal

Isn't Oberon sleep considered a buff meaning it can't be blocked since it's something "positive" Pretty cool to see to be a negative affect blocker

Yeah demerit in Oberon’s kit counts as a buff. It does have a bit of niche use cases since the skill 2’s demerit can be used to cut down buff blocks. Skill 3 is a bit more complicated iirc, because despite the demerit being counted as a buff, it isn’t blocked by buff block. The buff removal and the sleep it puts also is irresistible, as no amount of buff removal resistance can stop it and Oberon’s own Midsummer Dream passive immunity can’t stop it. It’s either the multiplier for Oberon’s S3 demerit is insanely high at like 1000% or they just used completely new sets of codes to make sure Oberon don’t miss his sleep.

It has nothing to do with it being a buff (the Def down on Jetkita is a buff yet it's still blocked). Oberon's skill is just an exception to the rule.

Aoko's skill can block those. You can see it in the video with Summer Okita, who's demerits count as buffs. Oberon's S3 specifically just ignores any kind of resist or immunity, which is why this didn't work either.

​@@xNayaokita is a def down proc so like her stun being blocked the game probably knows when you were about to get a demerit and just prevents it to start. Like an np that removes buffs then does damage vs one that removes buffs while doing damage sounding similar but not really Sleep is a special case while okita is still a def down

So, if i understand correctly the last part of the description, the likes of Kingprotea's S2 or Summer Kiara's S2 and S3 will still remove their respective stacks? Because if they won't get removed, that'd be quite insane. Either way, thanks for this video. I was wondering about the particulars of this skill and haven't seen answers to how some of the more niche cases would go. Gotta say, i especially love the Okita (and Tamacat) buff, Aoko would have been worth getting just for this for me.

If I test everyone this would be like, at least 30 minutes long lol. To answer your question, yea, it doesn't work for KP and Summer Kiara because those stacks are the "compensation" for their skills.

@@xNaya Yeah, you've shown the most common types of demerits (ie those that count as buffs/remove buffs/drain hp/etc as well as exceptions like sacrifice or eternal sleep), that's already great. Good to have a confirmation for KP and Kiara. It's less op than i hoped initially, but still nice to have fun with some niche servants, especially since she has a decent amount of support tools beside that.

It won't block out [Death] effects, so Mai Furendo will still kill himself after the turn he attacks with S2 used.

So what I am getting is Aoko + Jet Okita + van Gogh is new meta team?!?! JK, but that does sound like a fun comp. Downside is you get either the no demerits for Okita or the NP Charge + CD reduction for Okita and van Gogh, you can't do both since it's the same skill.

Personally I'm curious about Aoko double Gogh. AoE Buster and Extra cards, a ton of color buff for both of them, and what like 200% crit damage from the Gogh's, possibly doubling that with proper setup? I have to imagine the numbers could get quite funny for a few turns (this is actually one of the reasons I was disappointed to see a triple Arts decks for once, since she lost the second Buster card).

@@PeterMoxilin Same. Aoko S3 would help both Gogh's not only get their 2nd NPs off facecards faster, but because it reduces their skill CD they would get to a free NP off skills for both quicker. Add that with a free 10% NP gauge per turn, and there will be so many Gogh NPs going off you would be closer to the Crit damage cap than not most of the time.

What about Draco Beast 2nd skill's demerit ? Although the skill description says it's a demerit effect, it's actually does no harm to Draco but buff enemies by charging thier NP gauge by 1. If Aoko's skill can prevent that annoying effect, it will be awesome. I really want to get her.

It probably could stop eternal sleep, but because Oberon's third skill also remove all buff, that's probably why the eternal sleep bypass her skill effect.

It doesn't works on herself Sounds strange, yes, but let me explain. The Third Skill in "Normal Aoko" gives Protagonist Correction. Use NP, transforms into Super Aoko, all skills change... And there it is The Third Skill in Super Aoko has the requiriment to had charged 100% NP. If Aoko uses the Third Skill - Aoko Super version with the effect of Protagonist Correction, still her NP is stolen. So... Yes. I prove it with Doble Koyanskaya + Harry Potter dress

It depends how it is coded. Demerits that are seen as payment/transaction do go through that's why Quetz still loses the stars so exchanges like I give this in order to get that, might not work which makes sense for the skill. Here what could be good is to see if for example Miss Crane doesn't spend the 20 crit stars she requires for her NP. If it works, that's really nice!

If its any consolation, a good portion of the money made from FGO gachas does go into the budget for Type Moon's other works, whether anime/manga/light novels. So I never see it as a complete waste. At least when compared to other gacha games. I now only put money into guaranteed SSR banners during either FGO anniversary or New Years!

@@Yukeena Oh boy 20k!? Holy crap! I only spent like roughly $500-$1000 overall in the game. I apologize for the insensitivity there. I did spend a lot in Fire Emblem Heroes about $300 dollars before I quit playing 2 years ago due to how repetitive it was becoming. Speaking of that, gacha games in general no longer interest me as they once had although I still play 3 including FGO as a F2P player because there are no other games to me worth playing and I already played these games long enough the least I can do is stay playing until they finally shutdown.
