It's to be expected when you're as well written as he is. Few characters get the chance to play off of their own ideals as well as Shirou and Archer did, and it elevates both of their characters in turn.

EMIYA knows how summoning truly works. Basically the Chaldean version of Muramasa is just a copy so even if it looks like Shirou, it’s just a Shirou that was used in a different point as a vessel, and even that Shirou might just be a replicated body. The only Pseudo-Servant to be confirmed as 100% summoned as flesh and blood a-la Apocrypha’s Jeanne was Ishtar/Ereshkigal who was summoned from the future during a ritual gone awry. That is why Ishtar doesn’t vanish from Babylonia when it gets restored. And that is without going into the whole dominating mind, with most Pseudo-Servants just being the a heroic Spirit/Divine Spirit with some fragments of the vessel’s personality.

@@lenleon3699 you are mistaken. Muramasa is indeed possessing a flesh and blood Shirou. Muramasa even said that the vessel lived a similar life like him and even said that he could be the vessel's ancestor. If Im wrong instead, then feel free to correct me.

@@Glacier7474 You are indeed incorrect. Chaldea does not summon the actual pseudo-servants we originally met. We summon Spiritron copies of Pseudo-servants we met before. In fact, this has been addressed in events like Prysma Codes where Chloe/Kuro appears in Chaldea and when asked if her friends will start to worry about her vanishing, she responds that her original self returned to her parallel world as she was supposed to. Meaning the one in Chaldea was basically a resummoned her, a copy. Now if you are talking about the pseudo-servants we meet in Singularities and Lostbelts that is harder to answer since we do not know the process of how most of them became one, the Babylonia Ishtar is 100% a kidnapped Rin from a nondescript timeline for example, but that Rishtar just stays in the past traveling through Uruk (the one we summon shares her memories but that’s it). On the other hand we do not know the circumnstances of how pseudo-servants like Waver and Muramasa obtained their bodies since if they are using the flesh and blood original bodies, it means we either killed some of them (like Septem’s Waver) or they killed their hosts without a single care (Muramasa).

@@Glacier7474 Chloe’s case is a perfect example of how Chaldea’s summoning system works since Chaldea quite literally stores and summons their servants from collected Spiritron data. That is even why We use a Spirit Graph storage case to temporarily access our servants in battle. As you mention Ishtar, even that Ishtar and Chaldea’s Ishtar are entirely separate beings, since the Babylonia Ishtar just stays in the past rather than vanishing like most servants. In the end though it’s up to you how to take the concept since Type-Moon has been extremely vague about the fate of the human vessels. Which is odd because in Apocrypha they were super detailed about Jeanne creating a backup of Laeticia’s soul and even showing Astolfo saving Laeticia after Jeanne dies.

It's a reference to Shirou's inner monologues in fate/stay night. Almost every time Archer and Shirou talked, Shirou remarked that he really despised him without knowing why. And Muramasa feeling that way is prob just because of the Shirou body
