It would make sense that he could do something like that. It isn't to say that it wasn't canon in the first place. It was explain that Archer was able to create different weapons and alter their abilities based on what he needed. Also in heaven's feel route of the game. Shirou was able to do the same with the nine lives sword in order to kill hercules. so the over edge ability isn't out of the line of possiblities for him to do. And let's be honest. even if it wasn't canon, its still badass to look at. Oh my swords aren't powerful enough to fight the badguy. No problem just do some Over-edge and wala your swords go super saiyan and are ready to lay waste to your foe.

Trace: Over-Edge is also used in Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma illya. The ability is too cool to not be canon at this point.

@@blazeris1192 There's also the fact that the first sprite didn't even have any range animations. No Caladbolg or Hrunting, He just cut it away with Kanshou and Byakuya. Truly, the archer class is indeed made up of archers.

I assume he's going to have an update when fate extra record will be out. I hope they add the use of projection in his attacks like for kuro or Muramasa. I also hope that they add actuall np in his ubw instead of a bunch of nameless swords, in the old ubw, among the swords that he project, there is caladbolg.

iirc, his old skillset weren't accurate to his actual abilities. Emiya got Magecraft and Clairvoyance. He should've gotten Projection instead since it's more appropriate and his Clairvoyance is Hawkeye.

i honestly liked the older one more after seeing it it felt closer to what is shown in the anime series as well as shows his distinct sword he uses as the arrow in some of his attacks from the game and anime. the one that looks like calibunr but isnt in the newer version its just a bunch of random swords

This will probably be controversial, but i think only on thing of the updated animation is worse then the original version, and that's the UBW... The way it transition to it, and how it used swords that look like swords instead of just pure brown swords, it all looked better and more like UBW should look. The rest? Oh yeah much better, i would prefer if his especial move on the 4th extra attack, the one that is almost a three-linked crane wings attack(Seriously making him throw the sword and project another pair to attack on close combat, they break will attacking the second pair, grab the first and finish he job, it would had been even more awesome) didn't ended with the over-edge version of Kanshou and Bakuya(I don't like then i prefer their basic or gun version... Yes i prefer the gun version of the twin swords, to the one that makes then into long swords).

The old Animation is more CORRECT than the new one! The UBW WAS Supposed TO BE start A fire circle! Also look at the movement of the old Animation the normal attack such as Buster art quick, it more accurate to the Ufotable Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Work. The old Movement is really the mind of steel! Also the OLD Animation have a correct ubw backgrounf, the new one IS NOT!

Dark_Assassin 42 it’ll be implemented soon, I have my Emiya at level 94 and I really want to see that Magecraft skill do it’s work later on in the game.

Emiya gets 2 skills strengthening that turns him from below average into actually really fucking good. One of them is Magecraft into Projection Magecraft (1 turn Arts +35% boost into 1 turn all types +40% boost). The other is Clairvoyance into Hawkeye (3 turns +32% star gen into *3 turns +100% critical damage and +100% star gen* ) Hawkeye in particular is what will really elevate him... unfortunately we have to wait a while for that to come to NA.
