those were the real GTs. in-line sequential shifters, no assists too much present, screaming NA engines, huge engine capacity(6, 6.5, 7 and 8 liters), beautiful sounds with the massively screaming V12. not like the little turbo engines from today. but evolution is on it's way. turbo engines start to rule the races. we may never hear racing cars screaming in some years after the Porsche 911 RSR from the FIA WEC…

I've always loved the Ferrari's tight high pitched revs but the Saleen S7 and S7R was love at first sight but when the Corvette C6Rs go by, WHOOF what a sound! And the Saleen sounds very similar, best of both worlds, like dating a super hot chick that actually pays for her own entertainment.

Hallo, erst mal danke für die Info, hast du sost irgendwelche erfahrungswerte über neuere Kameras, welche für diesen zweck (Motorsport) auch gut zu verwenden sind? Möchte nämlich im nächsten Jahr zur FIA GT WM Nürburgring und sofern es statfindet nach Spa evtl auch zur GT2 EM in Zolder und bin noch auf der suche nach einer guten Kamera. mfg Christian

By fulfilling the homologation requirements; Maserati (Ferrari) did nothing wrong. In 2005,the homologation numbers were lowered in the GT to GT1 switch in an attempt to allow smaller manufacturers like Saleen to field their cars. It may not have been a smart move. This being said, "reverse homolation" cars appear from time to time, the most famous examples being the current Ford GT, the Maserati MC12, the 1997-1998 GT1 cars and the maniac Dauer 962 LM. They are some of the most interesting cars in the history of racing, I think.
