As someone that started watching races in the 60's the thing that stood out to me was - No Fires. It's amazing and awesome racing is so much safer than it used to be. I really enjoy Formula E and look forward to each race.

I've been living in Rome for the past 3 years and when I heard about the Rome Formula E Grand Prix, I honestly couldn't believe they found actual good roads to race on. A lot of FE drivers now are top drivers from F2 that couldn't get into F1 because there simply aren't enough spots in F1 at the moment. Nyck De Vries could definitely be a top driver in F1, but there's simply no room for him at the moment except as a reserve driver. So I would say the current FE drivers wouldprobably be faster as they're close to as good as F1 drivers but have more experience in the FE cars. Experience is the most important factor here.

It's pretty amazing how much safer these crashes have become. I'm not undersetimating the potential severity of Formula E accidents but seeing them actually pop out and walk out of a completely destroyed car is wild. Same with Rally, there haven't been any major injuries in a long time thanks to all the safety features. It's always a good thing when things become safer rather than riskier.
