He was looking in the opposite mirror to the side Heidfeld was coming from so he couldn't see Heidfeld and thought it was safe to turn right, but it wasn't

As someone that started watching races in the 60's the thing that stood out to me was - No Fires. It's amazing and awesome racing is so much safer than it used to be. I really enjoy Formula E and look forward to each race.

@@yhelloh Nah, ICEs nowadays are quite hard to blow up in a collision, same for fuel tanks. Not that the batteries are much easier, but a lithium fire would be pretty much the worst of news on a race track.

The "best" part of Formula E crashes is you can hear everything, how violent the impacts are. So much more aggresive driving, exciting stuff.

I remember the very first Formula E race in China, I thought that all the drivers would treat it like an exhibition race. Was proven very wrong after the Heidfeld-Prost incident.

I've been living in Rome for the past 3 years and when I heard about the Rome Formula E Grand Prix, I honestly couldn't believe they found actual good roads to race on. When I actually watched the Grand Prix, I realised that wasn't the case at all. They tried their best looking for good roads and just said "Fuck it" when they realised they couldn't find any 😂😂

A lot of FE drivers now are top drivers from F2 that couldn't get into F1 because there simply aren't enough spots in F1 at the moment. Nyck De Vries could definitely be a top driver in F1, but there's simply no room for him at the moment except as a reserve driver. So I would say the current FE drivers wouldprobably be faster as they're close to as good as F1 drivers but have more experience in the FE cars. Experience is the most important factor here.

It's pretty amazing how much safer these crashes have become. I'm not undersetimating the potential severity of Formula E accidents but seeing them actually pop out and walk out of a completely destroyed car is wild. Same with Rally, there haven't been any major injuries in a long time thanks to all the safety features. It's always a good thing when things become safer rather than riskier.
