Is it just me, or is FE going downhill when it comes to presentation? No championship standings after the highlights anymore (dropped after 1 season), it feels like we miss most action and now they put the winner/polesitter in the thumbnail too. If they hasn't, that last lap genuinely would have been exciting because you don't know whose going to come out on top, but they decided to spoil it for the race with the winner decided in the last few corners

That last lap was amazing. Crazy hot day. What a well organized event. Water for free all day, plenty of food options, shuttle to train station and parking lot before and after the race. Great finale. I'd love if Tom Brooks (lead commentator) showed close to that level of enthusiasm throughout the race. Also, it felt like the commentary audio was lagging behind the video, which was annoying, unless all the commentators were just really unreactive. It was a great race, but I hate the fact that the tv director does not mute the additional commentary on international feeds. Sounds silly that they hijack the commentary in the other countries. Makes no sense at all

What do you mean? I think that’s a whatever channel you’re watching it on problem. On the Austrian stream I watch the only commentary you can hear is the one in German. The only time they talk over anyone is when translating the interviews. Would suggest that’s just on your channel that they have two overlapping commentaries

@@johnwhittaker311 They were not talking all the time, during lap 6 out of nowhere there was English commentary that hyjacked our Dutch feed. Talked for almost the entire lap about attack modes. One more time during lap 11 talking about Max Günther's upgrades. During lap 17 they started talking to bring an interview with James Barclay and kept on talking for more than a lap. It's like they were using a different frequency or something. Maybe the Dutch feed was using this same frequency. Also they showed final lap at lap 31, even when the final lap was supposed to be lap 34 at this stage. It totally threw our commentator off guard and then when the race was over they hijacked it for one last time

It's just the way the cars are, they save way more energy in the slipstream due to regen and drag of the cars. The advantage you can get is massive just from sitting in the slipstream. It makes races more akin to a superspeedway race in Indycar or Nascar. Those have same strategy, so it's not entirely alien in motorsport. Just odd to see those sort of tactics on a street course.
