All my throw blankets are thrifted. I love them because they are so affordable, are unique and just need a wash. Nice to put pieces in your home that are different to what’s currently in the shops. I always look for neutral colours and natural fabrics such as wool, linen and cotton. That way they last the test of time and if i ever get sick of them I haven’t spent a fortune.

Since we don't have Home Goods in Alaska I'm always thrifting but I love shopping there while visiting family in the lower 48. I love the idea of using the toothbrush holder as a vase and the paper towel base as a candle tray! SOOOOO smart! Watch estate and yard sales. Go to other small towns and if you go to big towns go to the more affluent areas for estate and yard sales.
