I’m just now figuring it out why the Chinese dramas use the same exact plot and dialogue over and over again. I think it is a cultural thing. They are used to the Chinese operas from the past which were watched over and over again. Humans like the familiar, but I think the international audiences will not watch these excessively repetitive dramas. I, for one, am amazed that the Chinese screenwriters don’t come up with original material. Screaming women, people getting routinely slapped, the “F” word, women being abused, dishonest doctors, greedy hateful parents - it goes on and on! Enough!
