stephanies comment about her sister having eczema and being able to understand her a little better now was very heartwarming to me bc i also have severe chronic eczema all over my body and when my cousin was sick (she got scarlet fever and a horrible itchy blistery rash all over her body) she told her mom the same thing that she was kind of glad to be able to understand how i feel all the time. like yes it sucks and it’d be great if none of this had happened but it’s nice that stephanie was able to find a bit of a silver lining from it just like my cousin did from a similar situation

Girl! I feel your pain!! I had hand foot and mouth when I was 19. I had no idea what was going on. Went to an urgent care and the nerve of the doctor. Literally didn't even give me an actual exam. Asked me about my sexual activity. And just decided it was an STD; WITHOUT EVEN TESTING FOR ANYTHING!! Then printed out a list of GYNOs in the area and multiple pages of bible verses! Like the fuck?! As soon as I left the urgent care I called my doctor and made an appointment. It took her 5 minutes to look at my hands, feet and throat and realized it was HFMD. I will never go to that urgent care again.

I think the doctor your sister went to just doesn’t know about HFMD. For those of us here in Asia, it’s immediately obvious that it’s HFMD. There’s like occasional breakouts here in SEA, or like a kindergarten would shut down for a week for cleaning because one child gets infected. It’s super manageable and non-threatening in developed countries but children in developing countries might need some more help.
@kpoptrash23912 жыл бұрын
Exactly it's quite common here

@MoonStarFire13 жыл бұрын
I hope everyone who has it in your family is feeling better too, Stephanie! I had a really bad case of HFMD when I was younger, and a lot of people in my family both young and old have had it too. It's just one of those super contagious and freakishly painful things but technically not really life threatening viruses. I actually ended up bandaging every single one of my fingers when my nails starting doing the weird shedding thing bc I almost accidentally ripped one off and caused a bloody mess 🥲 (my nails are all absolutely fine and healthy as hell now but god I will never forget the pain and discomfort from HFMD) Hang in there, and stay safe! 💖

We got it from our local YMCA my children and myself never felt worse in our lives. I was sleep deprived constantly running a child's feet under scolding water to freezing water. All three of us crying together asking God for a moment if relief. I'm sorry you had that experience. We call it hand foot and ass disease as a joke now when we recall the nightmare of hand hooves and mouth disease

Suggestion for Stephanie's/your makeup: Splashes. Splashes is a type of eyelashes with cute, little things on them. So for example, eyelashes with colourful hearts or eyelashes with colourful stars. They would look so good on her/you.
