Yeah, run to momma and then to the "friend", your fiancé is the last priority. But aside from just being a child mentally and emotionally, it's wild that both of the above wanted him to just bolt without a word to OP. The friend clearly had ulterior motives, but the mom? Also wild that the thought of being a farmer grew on him after he'd already decided to break up with her and move to another state, but he had too much "pride" to admit it. Embarrassed himself pitching a fit over chickens because he doesn't know how to resolve conflict. If he hadn't gotten himself blackout drunk and wasted time pecking with the biddies he would have gotten the good job. I'd even be willing to forgive and move on amicably if that was the situation and he'd been upfront about it. "I'm not against your chickens but I have a once in a lifetime opportunity and if I take it and you come with me, you can't take them. So we (WE, that's the way you need to think as a couple ya dingus) have a decision to make." And if that conversation ended with them being split up, so be it. He is not very communicative of his wants and needs ,he's very indecisive and quick on decisions at the same time. I feel like there's something missing. Phrasing things he's cruel and she's sensible until she actually says exactly what she does and uses language like "he must really not love me as much as I thought if he doesn't want my dreams to come true" after saying they must have had a miscommunication and need to talk about it. Also after saying she wants chickens to walk the house and backtrack that later once comments went "wait, the chickens walk around inside the house?" And how in the update everyone but her did something wrong wanting to keep secrets from her but also how he'd be wrong to leave her but he did it anyway to his own detriment. Something about story one definitely feels off.

Story 1: You dodged a nuke having that coward show his true colors before he trapped you with babies. Nothing lost and gained a new fur baby. I always made my intentions crystal clear from the start of dating. My now Fiance knew from the start that I WOULD be moving to the mountains and starting a farm as it has always been my lifelong goal,even as a small child. I told him that if he didn't feel the same to let me know so we could break up and not waste each others time. Thankfully he wants that as well. Hoping that OP finds her future farmboy too!

It was like old times again 😂😂😭 Y'all were blowing my notifications up. I don't usually reply, but I read everything. I finally made that bulgogi yesterday with some fried rice and hibachi vegetables. Some asparagus was losing freshness so put it in with the usual stuff, no noticeable difference in flavor, 10/10 recommend. Just working 2 days this week, taking some much needed time off 🙏🏾🎉🎉🎉

Here’s a newsflash New York has numerous suburbs, they are numerous people raising chickens 🙄 we don’t all live in high rise buildings. I live in the suburbs of Long Island a stroll in my neighborhood will have you passing swans large turtles Canadian geese , people raise everything. 🤷🏿‍♂️further out you will find chickens and horses and yes farms. There was a story in the paper and local news about people with their roosters waking the neighbors up early 🤦🏾‍♀️It’s New York ,we won’t get into the police raid that found a full grown tiger living in an apartment or an alligator in the bathtub 🤐. 🤷🏿‍♂️yeah it New York like I said .

S1: My sister calls me a crazy chicken lady, so maybe I am biased here but...NTA. The chickens predated him and he obviously knew she had them. You don't ask someone to marry you and then expect them to change. My husband is not an animal person. He has not been able to really get attached since his mom put his favorite childhood dog to sleep for "being too big" (yeah, don't get me started on that one). But you know what? He knows I very much am, so he brings me plants and pets, my two non-human babies, because he loves me. What a big baby. Bullet dodged. I will not sacrifice my passion for anybody, no matter what. Back in late 80s my parents against me for focusing on IT, but I did what I wanted to with my grandparent's help. Worked for the giants now back then. Started my own company in 96, which took off on another level in 2004, merged it with another another rival for benefit, and retired at 45. I am writing this almost close to 10 years after my success. Trust me, your passion to do something thought, is not a joke, because you were born with it. Don't give up for any of these people. Pleasing others will make you doormat for life. Learn to say NO, no matter what. Stop being emotional, and start practicing moral life. You will see the end of tunnel, which people speak about.
