EJ, this is an important video. Most people don’t know or believe they are being ripped off at dealerships and shops. It’s good you are teaching basic maintenance to those watching. I was fortunate to find an honest shop that only does German cars to take my Tiguan to when it’s a big repair. So far they've done transmission fluid change, Haldex fluid and filter change, rear differential fluid change, along with a rear main engine seal, a brake booster vacuum line and a new turbo. Every time it was cheaper than the dealer and it was done right the first time. The only thing I do now is oil change and filter, engine air and cabin air filter and spark plugs. I’m getting too old to crawl underneath the cars. If a person can find a good shop they can get difficult work done there and do whatever they can as DIY. Thanks again for another video to help car owners.

That is good that you have an honest independent shop. Fnding an honest and good indepedent shop is hard but once you find it, it is a blessings. I am getting worried abour Jose, my honest Porsche mechanic. He is getting very old. I pray that he has a long and healthy life. About getting old, I am starting to feel it now in my mid 40s. It is getting tougher to do DIY videos. 😀

Dear Sir, Inspection by dealer means that they only look for physical inspection such as Tyres, Brake Pads, Engine oil etc. They never do a full service for you, for that they will supply you with service history. I hope it helps.

First off, that filter is black because it's charcoal infused. BOTH are totally OK. Second, a cabin filter issue for a Fiat owner doesn't even make the list of multiple coming attractions of problems. The dictionary definition of 'Fiat': "an arbitrary decree or pronouncement, especially by a person or group of persons having absolute authority to enforce it". Real world: "A very small, overpriced, poorly engineered vehicle suffering catastrophic depreciation".
