Fiat 850 Coupé e Triumph Spitfire, Italia Inghilterra

My very first car was a Fiat 850, like this one, it was perfect for an 18 year old boy. It never let me down, although it was rusting every very second of the day, unfortunately. My third car was a Triumph Spitfire 1500, in the same red color as in this little film.... It didn't rust that much as my Fiat, but it ALWAYS let me down. When I bought it, I rode home, but I didn't get there: the car broke down only 500 meters from my home. From that moment on, it had incidents EVERY week, without exeption, although I always got home after all.... But what a pleasure to lift the hood and work on the motor, sitting on the bare front tyre !!! The two carburettors where a nightmare. On hot days, when you left the highway, on the first red lights, the engine stopped, and you had to wait twenty minutes to let it cool down. Changing the mechanic fuelpump by an electrical one (of an old Range Rover !!) helped a lot. After some years I sold it to a man living in a appartment in Antwerp. I asked him what his plans were. He answered that he was moving to Spain. I think a went a little pale....
