Thanks for the info just to add when I got a full service it also included checking the brakes, fully renewing brake fluid also coolant which is meantvto be done every two years they also ran a scanner to check the ecu and all electrics including start battery also tyres were checked and filled up if needed pluss all lights. Brakes I think are very important to be done in full service especially checking disc wear handbrake adjustment and changing fluid.

A lot of the extra checks you've rightly mentioned I consider weekly or daily checks. I can also say on my service at main dealer, they definitely didn't do a full fault code scan as I went back a few weeks later and paid £170 as I had some lights come up on the dash after the service. I had the ecu airbag fault that the dealer wanted £1200 to fix. I did the job myself for £120. I think it was if I remember correctly. I've got a video on that fix also if you check my list. Are you now doing your own service ? I will also be doing a break service/check at some point. I have checked my brakes but I didn't have time to film as it started raining so just needed to get the job done. I will get round to it though.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment. Mark asks "do you have a van at the moment ? And Is there anything in particular you like watching?" We are both really glad you have found us. Don't forget to press the bell so you get notified when a new vlog is out. ❤️

@@PAUL_G72 that's exactly how we started and a lot of others. As you see, Mark has a totally different van to me (Sioux) I saved up to buy a panel van, while saving I researched how to turn it into a camper. First was to decide on a design but that design changed as I was building and I decided that I didn't need some things. Which part of the country are you in?

Tea 27 star washers, could have been your channel name😊 Dealers are the worst for taking your dosh and not taking care, so the cabin filter comes as no surprise. Shame that you chose the cold weather to do this as it's no fun working working with frozen fingers.

Very well shown how it should be done. I have the same diesel filter from Mopar. There are so many filters on the market. And the housings are not always the same. The specifications vary - both in height and diameter. Can you tell me which filter is the right one? Or where I can order the right filter? Thanks
@Roadshome16 күн бұрын
I had the same issue. Gave my vin number to euro car part and got the wrong filter, took it back with the original and the swapped it for the right one no issues. I'd even opened their one and had dirty finger prints on it. That's who I'd recommend and use myself. Euro car parts.

@@Roadshome There seem to be two possible variants - 146 mm height and 116. Do you know which one you used?

I've tried to find my receipt but haven't been able to locate it, l know it's in the van 🙃 unable to find it so have no idea, something tells me it was the 146, but without the receipt I can't confirm. Sorry mate. 😞

Timing belt soon mate. I don't want to trust a garage with my van again. 😫
@rvrebel22096 ай бұрын
Hi. That fuel filter was disgusting ! I know that diesel is darker than petrol but , diesel is so much cleaner than years ago Once again was it changed by the garage last time ???
@Roadshome6 ай бұрын
I have my doubts. I used to own a land rover 90 300 TDI and I put all sorts of crap fuel in that think. The filter was never that dirty when it came to service. I wouldn't trust a main dealer again. People assume as I did, going main dealer you get good service. Nope.

@@Roadshome Friend of bought a new Scania truck on a 3 plus 3. Basis , ie scania paid and serviced it for 3 years Thing is My engineer marked the back of the oil filter, 4 years later it still had that same filter on it ! My engineer phoned Scania and managed to get thousands back as compensation !! That taught them !!!

@@Roadshome You are exactly right main dealers and a lot of garages are mostly shysters - you really don't know what they have and have not done - or to what standard. Love your video and your proper ethos - thanks. Just my opinion but the manufacturers oil change interval of 30k miles is insane. I do my motorhome with proper 0w30 C2 oil every year and I do about 4-5K per year. Suggest others do the same. Take care and enjoy.
