you can try to clean it with spay for electric contact before to replace it . Yes , of course , the cost is not high. Pay attention when you clean the sensor . It's fragile. Use spray not nearest the sensor when you do it !

Hey dude. So I have had a problem with my fiat punto grande 1.3 I was driving along going about 70mph and all of a sudden a beep and engine management light came on my car then last all power and slowed down automatically to about 40mph limping along. I sat her down on the hard shoulder and turned her off for about 5 mins and then turned her back on. The engine management light went off and speed picked right back up. I then had the same problem for a few days streight. A few weeks go by without it happening and all it does now is over rev stupidly every time I put my foot down to speed up. She doesn't like going over 40 and doesn't do well going up hill. I was told that it's probably the Boost Pressure Sensor. Does this sound about right to you? Any help would be great. If it's worth a try I could try cleaning the sensor first as she is about 10 years old

I have a fiat 500 1.2 and it also has this issue. I’ve replaced in turn, map sensor,throttle body,throttle pedal,crankshaft sensor,coil pack and it’s exactly the same. Any ideas ?

I have Fiat Punto 1.2 8v 2000 year, petrol and LPG, fuel consumption goes double 13-14, on Lovato easy fast says that both petrol and lpg time is high, petrol time is about 5 ms (normal should be 2,5 to 2,7) and lpg 12+(normal should be about 7), does is possible maf sensor to be damaged or dirty, should I buy new and replace? These no errors on diagnostic bout engine. Or lambda sonda? What do you think. Engine temperature is normal on the middle, engine works fine, spark plugs are black, before were like white, these no dark smoke from exaust, maybe because I drive most on LPG only use much fuel petrol or LPG, and on uphill doesnt have power..

i have 1.1 panda active eco 2009 and its revs go up and down by themselfs and would say fuel economy could be better, no engine fault lights, whats it likely to be? any help appreciated

Hey could I ask have you seen poor revs and stalling and low revs before for these fiat punto grande cars? What could be the issue? ECU REPORTED 0 issues.

Just been quoted £275 parts and labour to change the Map sensor in a 09 ford fiesta 1.4 petrol, anyone know where it is and ill do it myself... think it ay be on the air intake manifold.

@@kemzy479 I'm still driving it and it passes mot so I'm not bothered , it's fine you just use the gears to brake going down hill to save the brakes . Great wee car
