People need to realize, Philippines could've attempted a three to tie the game but they didn't because it wasn't worth the gamble to try and win it in overtime because with that also comes the risk of possibly losing by double digits. Tim Cone took advantage of the point differential system, I think he made the right choice. Honestly, we've proven we can take on these Euro Titans. We're going to the next round! Laban Pilipinas!

Its because philippines was preventing to go overtime because Georgia needs to win by 19pts to advance since latvia beat georgia, and philippines beat latvia. If u notice at the end georgia tried to shoot to philippines basket because they need overtime to try to have overtime. So philippines won even tho they lost in this game because georgia only beat them by 2pts and philippines will advance to the semifinals.

Calculated move by CTC. Gilas could shoot the 3 with about 10 seconds left, but that would force an overtime and may put Gilas in a bad situation. So to secure a spot at the semifinals, they decided to end the game like that. Georgia even tried to shoot the ball for Gilas😅😅 but it didn’t work. Good job CTC and Gilas Pilipinas. i know its only Latvia and Georgia, but why all of a sudden the Euro teams look vulnerable to me looking from our Gilas point of view? I mean with Latvia we maintained a huge lead all the way and protected it. With Georgia, Gilas came back from 20 pts and actually had control of the game where Gilas could have easily won, they just dont want to go to OT obviously. The Euro coaches even praise our size and defense in the paint, something unheard of for any Philippine team coz we are undersized 😂. But i give all due credit to JB, man he’s very consistent, together with Gilas outside shots 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

no way it was dirty play, who's playing was dirty? Thomason just tried to defend hard. Goga was in the air, it was imposible to land other way and also he was pushed by Philipino player. but if we are talking about real dirty play, Fajardo did it against Goga. he get faul and at the same time intentionally hit elbow into stomach, this was real hard hit and not playing situation. After this Goga probably was injured, but still continue playing.
