India needs a professional basketball league like ISL. Without a consistent league where player can truly hone their skills, it's a tough ask. But the Basketball Federation of India has been in shambles for so long. They shut down any private enterprise trying to make a league in India and yet cannot manage to create one themselves. Inspite of all this, basketball is growing in India and the national team is improving every year.

Qatar has the money and resources either to bring in diasporas or pay for foreign players and give them passports. They can also bribe, remember 90+6 = 99 and the game against India where the ref has to wait for Qatar to score. Until Qatar Score.

Lack of practice with Indian players. All trying to shoot 3 and no mid-range. Also players were getting tired and look weak on the board. May be this has to do with nutrition. They need a lot of practice on the fundamentals and good nutrition. May be get a professional strenght and atletics trainer from the US and get all the players strong with increased endurance. Also get a coach from the US who can develop their skills and IQ as a team and individual. May be they also need better scouts who will recruit better players. This all needs a lot of investment so not sure if India really understands what the game of basketball requires to achieve the level of competency that other Asian and middle eastern countries have developed. This is not cricket.

These senior non athletic players need to be removed for younger, more dynamic players.. Their game still reminds of the 2010s.. The game has developed way more and has become very very fast paced..
