Great to see you're back! Glad everything is OK. Need to make stuff for my sons who listened to all those albums back then--for myself, Boston! Aaron, those colorways are GORGEOUS! Your shawl is beautiful. I had my own machine embroidery business--mostly monograms-- when my kids were young. I did it all freehand on my Bernina. My most favorite custom project I was asked to do was make the characters from The Hobbit (cartoon) movie on the yoke, cuffs and button band of a western-style shirt. It was fun. I did Bilbo Baggins, Gandolf, and about five other characters from a book she had. Chip, I feel that you would really enjoy doing your own characters since you've stated how excited you are to be tapping the creative bean. It doesn't take long to do a character freehand at all. You can make it separate, trim the fabric around it (it looks like an appliqué); then, freehand embroider around the character appliqué, attaching it to your project. Note: To this day, I know nothing about The Hobbit. Love the white highlight on the guys on the Abbey Road square! Just superb! Take care. --K

OMG my favorite! It’s a rainy Saturday in Oklahoma so instead of going out to mow I sat down to finished some socks and was like FIBER HUSTLE made an new episode!!! @ Aaron, that’s not a white Santa beard, it’s silver fox. I’m also cherishing an old 2007 Panasonic plasma tv. At 42 inches, it cost 3 to 4 times in 2007 to what one would pay for a 42 inch tv today, so I’m using it until it dies. It’s had a few senior moments this year with the speakers, but after a nano nap, it bounced back. I’m already thinking about my costume and decorations for Halloween bingo. So sorry y’all suffered with all those medical issues. @ Chip - I hope you didn’t go the doctor with that broken toe, cause they just put on $2 tape, and charge you $200. Thank you, thank, thank you for the visit, and and I’m looking forward to the next episode.

Aran I prefer 3 ties. I love your yarn colors. I made the 100 block quilt out of scraps and a unicorn fabric for my granddaughter. My husband had the 10 spool brother embroidery machine. First time watching and Good God you boys are chatty. A few things I love the cables and the beanie with the ribbing on the brim that was the wrong one, I actually much prefer the 2X2 ribbing it looks like that was the intended ribbing. The yarn is beautiful, but when you were talking about weaving in the ends of the yarn on your shawl and you said that you knit with both of the strands for about 8 rows, I though OMG that's a long ways to knit in your ends, but then when you were showing it, I am pretty certain you mean that you knit over the old yarn for about 8 stitches much better. And on the fabric basket the cocks, those are not cocks boys they are hens, I know how confusing those chickens get, but those aren't cocks just to repeat. lol 😅 And the little basket could also be used for a small hand embroidery projects or sewing notions that stay on your sewing table, it could hold wonder clips ect. Thanks for a fun show and I will have to check out your shop. Tracy

Chip, I love playing with my Bernina embroidery module, too. I don’t have a long-arm, and I use my embroidery module for E2E quilting. It’s great fun!

OMG! I'm getting very curious about the embroidery method of quilting. I was watching an old episode of "Sewing With Nancy" and she went over it beautifully. I think it's a great option!

@@FiberHustle it has a learning curve. The important thing is to mark your quilt with a straight grid that corresponds to the width of your embroidery design. It keeps your starts and stops lined up. There are a few good KZbin videos about embroidery quilting. Sewing with Cody and Pete is one that demonstrates it.

As for the numbers of ties on the yarn…do what is easiest for you. Seems like a pain to cut all the ties. Great yarn! One more chip basket purchased…one idea that I am sure you have heard before Chip - add a couple of snaps so you can snap it open into a box while you are knitting…..🥰
