Kevin: I find your videos incredibly helpful...i work for a Telco in Saskatchewan, Canada...we're trying to train up new staff to use EXFO's awesome tools...to test 100Gbps backbone links

Darrell, I thought I responded to you. I apologize for the delay. What test are you doing on the 100G backbone?

@@KevinPeres Kevin: You responded to my email, with that short video about MPO Custom Elements. Good news is they were blocking me from getting the iADV-features, but now they gave in, & are gonna let us buy it. We were just doing the basic 10/100Gbps iOLM testing, but had to shoot thru 4 of those MPO's, which were flunking

@@darrellnickel894 I am glad your were able to get that option. Have you figured out how to create customs elements? If not drop me an email and I can walk you through it.

You should put links to the products you used in this video in the description! It would be super helpful just like your video!

It would. I do not take this page serious enough.

@@KevinPeres it would help when searching for your products to not only get results from Fluke, because there is no searchable text metadata available here to say 'EXFO' on any of your content. Comments are not indexed, but video descriptions are. There is no global OCR for text or spoken words in a video. So you have this tool you are ignoring.

@@RowanHawkins I appreciate the tip. I am starting to include keywords in my videos hopefully it will make it more searchable

Video scopes are the biggest scam ever sold to the Cable Industry. I can absoloutely prove this.
@KevinPeres5 жыл бұрын
Not sure why you think that. How else would you know whether a connector is contaminated or damaged? On a dark fiber that I pass thru I can certainly look at the results with the OTDR of that pass thru and get an indication of the performance of that fiber but I can not on a terminated connection.
