Fiberglass body kit fitment | Cressida gets Aero

Hotboi season is upon us. Huey's Cressida get some new aero and it doesn't exactly fit well. Here's some tricks to get your kit to fit better. We're not professionals but maybe some of these techniques will give you the motivation to cut up your own kit.

Great video mate! I'm in the middle of fitting a VL Director kit to my VL Berlina powered by a built Rb30det - Tremec Magnum 6 speed Manual- 4:11 diff gears, I bought a Genuine HDT kit but it doesn't fit properly anywhere .. Your vid was helpful thank you from Australia.

Mount the corners to the fender 1st then figure out what needs to be trimmed/modded to fit in the center.

@@roseukabu ah. I don't have anything behind mine yet. Just have wood clamps holding the bumper up in the middle. Now that the bumper sits right I'm having someone fab me a bash bar.

Been watching and subbed since i found your channel, I really enjoy the process you show. In your opinion since you have experience, could a cressida work out as a first project car? Im super into them, and as they become more rare I want to buy one before the price starts to climb even higher. How hard is the manual swap for example? I dont have any tools (of my own) or experience yet, but I really want to learn!

If you can find one still they're simple cars to work on. I'd pickup a hardcopy of the repair manual and use that as your guide. We do mostly mods and don't cover the basic stuff too much. Hopefully you have friends/family who know more about cars to give you a hand and teach you a few tricks.

Nice work Huey! What parking brake shoes are you using? I'm being told that project MU shoes for a jzx90/100 will work on the cressida, maybe that will lock up better for you?

Stock ebrake shoes. I never changed them. I have a dual caliper setup in mind but don't wanna mount anything yet since I might have to mod the trans tunnel for the swap.

I've been watching your videos for a bit and had some questions. Who makes the skid plate you're running? And I'm looking for a good shifter boot to run with my manual swap, what are you guys using?

Xcessive makes the skid plate. For a shift boot I went to the junkyard and found whatever I thought might fit. The one I used came out of a mid 90s Nissan Sentra.
