Dear Fiber Spider: you have brought back my interest in crochet again! I tried to learn knitting when I was 12 from a very nice lady but just never could get it. Then, I got my mom to teach me a very basic single and double crochet when I was about 16, and I loved it. Unfortunately, I never learned much more than that, but was able to use those basic stitches enough to do granny squares and shell stitches to make afghans for nursing homes. I eventually had a family and crochet had to go on the back burner to cooking and cleaning and school projects. I’m now 68 and after quilting awhile, I wanted something I could do more mobile. I looked to KZbin and there you were, with your help and patience. On a fixed income now, crochet is a little more cost friendly. I’m currently working on this infinity scarf for a long time friend of my mother. She’s 95 and in Iowa; I think this will be perfect for her in Mandala Ombré Harmony. Thank you again! ❤

Another great tutorial for a beautiful stitch pattern. And thank you so much for the joining technique! It's perfect. So much better than trying to slip stitch the two ends together. It's barely noticeable. Very professional looking.

Thanks so much for taking time to make these videos! I’m crocheting again after 50 years (!) and my grandma taught me stitches when I was 8, but I don’t have a clue how to read patterns. With your instruction I’m not afraid at all to tackle more difficult stitches and make gifts for my family and friends. Thank you SO much for your time and effort. I REALLY appreciate it.

I love your tutorials. I past 1 1/2 years I have made no less than 6 queen sized blankets, from your patterns. I inherited my mother's yarn stash when she died, and I had my own stash of store purchased and home spun. I was drowning in yarn, then I found your channel. You have saved my house from stash overload. Thank you so very much.

Quite pretty. Sometimes I think it's the yarn that makes or breaks a project and that smile rainbow made that fabulous.
@beccabbea25113 жыл бұрын
You are correct about the yarn making or breaking a project. I've nearly finished a möbius scarf using this pattern and the yarn is, for me, just right. The only difference I have made is to do all the rows as front post. I'm planning on making a matching slouchy hat (I look silly in a beanie) and fingerless mitts. One small problem. I need to visit a yarn shop for another ball of yarn. Oh dear me! 😃

@@meescha2798 I do all white afghans as wedding gifts and sometimes for babies as Christening or Baptism gifts. I can already imagine the finished product using this stitch in all white yarn. And the beauty is, you can make it large or small because the texture will make it a very warm blanket.

Hi Craig, I've made a few of your patterns and I love this one just as much. I found that doing a treble instead of a double crochet for the posts in-between the shells made the pattern sit a bit better and gave it more room to avoid curling. Thanks again, Fip.
