How to Crochet the Moss Stitch / Linen Stitch - an easy one row repeat pattern! In this video I show you how to crochet the moss stitch, how to finish the ends and how to make tassels - ZERO WEAVING OF ENDS REQUIRED!
For my scarf I used a Scheepjes Softfun Mini Colour pack consisting of 12 x 20gram balls of yarn. This scarf would make for an excellent stash buster!

🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on KZbin yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthev... and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyro... The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyro...

I just love this stitch and it is great for left over yarns. The fringe is a great idea, no weaving in ends! 😅. Thank you again for another wonderful tutorial. Ooh blimey there's a question I'm always USELESS at answering 😅🙈 I tend to do everything by eye when it comes to gauging starting chains - chain a load, lay it out, eyeball it (very much a wing and a prayer!) The technical and probably more helpful answer would be to know the width you want in inches, then measure your chains until they are the right width 🙂
