Since 2017 I am constantly telling people what a gem Fichte really is. One of the most important philosophers ever.

Professor Bonevac, I wanted to ask you a question about analytic:synthetic distinction, which you explained in one of your videos: are geometry theorems analytic or synthetic? Typically abstract representations of geometric figures are used to prove these theorems. But some axioms in geometry can’t be proved and were found empirically.

@@Tm-kt3uw Good question! There’s significant debate about this in the philosophy of mathematics, especially since the development of non-Euclidean geometries.

@@PhiloofAlexandria Thank you!!! I’ll try to find more information about different points of view on this question.

Thinking is not consciousness. Thinking is self-consciousness. The self positing itself? Can self-consciousness posit consciousness? Can i posit Nature? No. The self seems stuck in between both consciousness and self consciousness. The i of self-consciousness is it the same i of consciousness. The i that experiences and interacts with Nature is different from the i that reflects and interacts with ... the experiencer of the experience of Nature. The experience, the experiencer and the experiencee. Me the tree and the sensations between us.
