This is gorgeous, well-shot, and deserves WAY more views. It'd be great if the algorithm made this trend one day.

Thanks, glad you like it. Views are not everything, it's enough if just few enjoy these videos.

It is SO beautiful! Thankyou so much for this wonderfully shot video.. the patience, attention and effort that has been put in really shows. I’ve been wanting to grow a ficus religiosa in a pot but my effort was a failure. I did not try again since I felt I did not understand it enough and I did not want to end up killing another one due to my lack of knowledge. This is how I came across your video

What size pot did you have these in?

Beautiful video! How does this forest develop? I have about 20 Bo tree sprouts about 15cm high and was thinking about planting them as a forest. Does it work? Again, excellent video, Thank You!!

This is AMAZING.... I can imagine hard work and efforts required to shoot this video.. hats off to you... I have some bonsais under training. I see interesting features during plant growth cycle and i plan to shoot them in time lapse. But its very difficult.. i will be happy if i can achieve just 10% of what you done 😅😅

Would you please teach me how I can do this.. atleast one baby tree.. thankyou
@Back2Trees3 жыл бұрын
Well, the process is not very hard - buy seeds (I bought them from India via eBay). Once you have them, sprinkle them on a soil, water them and put them to some mini greenhouse (bought or homemade). Make sure no mold will form, do not overwater. In about month you should see first signs of life.

@@Back2Trees I live in india.. I’ve been trying to grow baby ficuses I find in pots but somehow they keep dying. I think it has to do with the growing medium.. I’ve been using soil but here it looks like you are using rocks ? Please elaborate on the growing medium

@@Aristothomasjoseph I just use soil for bonsai from the local stored mixed with perlite. I suspect that the issue may be with the watering (make sure not to overwater or underwater - akadama can be used for indication) or light (my Ficuses strive in direct sunlight).
@Aristothomasjoseph3 жыл бұрын
@@Back2Trees yes, the issue I had was with water, and also the soil I used I suppose.. it was too Sandy and hence high drainage.. it kept becoming dried out real quick after watering. I chose this because here I always saw them (ficus religiosa) growing from between concrete cracks and similar places that dint seem like it had much water at all.. but clearly I was wrong

Hey how did you germinated ficus religiosa seeds ?
@Back2Trees4 жыл бұрын
Put the seeds on top of the soil. Or sprinkle them with a very thin layer of soil. Keep the soil moist (watch out for mold) and wait for couple of weeks.

How deep did you sow these? I’m trying to start some and idk how deep to go
@Back2Trees3 жыл бұрын
Almost no sowing, just put them on the soil - and sprinkle some soil over it. When I planted these, I put them for 24 hours to water and then put it into the home-made greenhouse to keep the humidity high.

Please follow the link here: back2trees.com/soil-mixture generally I use this soil mix. However, for seed germination just replace the bonsai soil with some seed starting mix.

It actually takes 6-4 weeks for ficus religiosa seeds to germinate😅
@Back2Trees4 жыл бұрын
May depend seed viability on but general true :-) Just recently I planted Ficus carica and Ficus rumphii. The first was directly from the fruit (germinated in less than two weeks). Ficus r. (bought from US) germinated in 3-4 weeks (both under same high humidity and direct sunlight).
