why? did the gear transmission crap out? personally, I prefer a gear transmission on a low end residential riding mower. it uses less horsepower and it's basically like having built in cruise control. select your speed, release the clutch and go, and you don't have to hold down a drive pedal the whole time you're mowing.

I just bought a 1980 Honda XL250s from the original owner my friend, still has the original tires, the bike has never spent the night out of the garage, but the tires feel like the rubber has turned hard, I know you can't advise me without inspecting the rubber of the tire, but what do you think?

Nice fine. If the tires are not cracked it's good to go. Inspect them after every ride.

Does anyone know if the LA series 110 and up etc and the John Deere 115 are the same pedal parts as the "D series" and rod parts as a source of the hydro transmission and parts. They look very similar.
