Very underrated channel. I’ve watched quite a few of your revivals. Excellent work. I do similar stuff on my channel as well, but your attention to detail is superb. Thank you for sharing all the hard work and tips 😎

I watch your channel and like the way you explain things. I borrowed a 2013 John Deere D140 from my neighbor to cut my 2 acre yard. I have a heat build up problem that melts the plastic where the front bumper/hood support piece attaches to the frame. It also will not climb steep hills after mowing for 2 hours. The transmission fan looks in good shape. Do you have any idea what could cause this heat build up? Does engaging the PTO make the transmission fan spin?

They’re two belts under the tractor. Top belt is the drive belt, it spins the fan on the transmission when the E-brake it off. The only way it can melt the plastic is an exhaust leak. Check the exhaust pipes and check the metal guard below the muffler, make sure it’s not bent. The transmission is getting weak. It will have to be replaced. I usually look for a parts tractor for sale that has a good transmission and switched them out. You can change the oil in the trans with 15w-40, (50/50 chance it will fix it).

Wonder what engineering genius, 🤔 designed a spindle with a grease zerk??. But managed to design it, so no grease would get to the bearings?. He must have been top of his class !!.👨🎓

Great video's. Do you have any long term tests to see how that por15 lasts on the decks? I'm in Nova Scotia too, Pictou County

It holds up great if you clean your mower deck every time you mow. Touch it up every year.

I went next level lol and use 2K clear coat ya buy in can for final coats on deck ( its 2 parts and ya push the button in to activate) , the cans are not cheap like $40 CDN , so I make sure I have enough things to paint as ya only get 24 hours shelf life when activated , than I find myself in shop just staring at decks and drinking beer when they are done . lol they look like they are right out of Barret Jackson with a true 2K base clear paint job

I hate the covers on these engines. If you do not get them lined up just right, the dipstick tube will take out the cooling fins on top of the flywheel the second you crank it up!

If you can really sell it for $1375 US, then you hit a lick. What year, and how many hours on meter? You do good solid work!

They sell very easy here at that price in Nova Scotia. 203hrs

Very informative video. Lots of repair videos on your channel. Are you up for a collaboration? Hipa supplies parts for small engines and maybe we would work together to help more people in the community.
