I actually have a tip for some of these flips on the lower end models... you can pick up a set of used OE fenders with the T27 screws included for like $20-$30 and retrofit them onto the models without fenders. You do enough flips that you'd have no problem making the perfect golden template, based off the fender deck holes that you deem perfect (not the fender itself) which could be easily reused on these 100s. With a golden template, you'd be able to add them in like 20 minutes tops with a step-bit including adding touch up paint to the drill holes. The fenders also are pretty easy to lightly sand, clean, primer and paint with matte black or SEM trim black in batches so you have them ready to go. Just something to consider!

I wash the decks and rims with magic erasers, and they look way better then flip um....... I also add ATF to the tires if they have slow leaks. I use tire shine on the black areas to make the plastic look darker, its super easy and cheaper than armor all. A few drips of 14k gold testing acid to clean the carburetors internal tubes then carb spray and it purrs like new again.

He did a very nice job except for one item - the front steering axle. I think he could have doubled his money had he replaced that item along with grit blasting and painting the deck. So the incremental cost would have been well worth the incremental price increase he could have sold the unit for.

I agree with you but my gold was to fix and flip it in one day. Watch this video: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4GbZq13iaaWobM

That was a pretty good profit made for 4hrs work. Since you went to the trouble on the deck, I would have strongly suggested power washing the deck when you had it all apart and painted it. Here in the states where I'm at, I can get a can of RUST-OLEUM Farm & implement "JD YELLOW"(John Deere yellow) for $7.00 USD. One can could have easily been used to make that deck "Pop". Could have increased your profit too. I do remember you saying you just wanted a "quick flip" but that wouldn't have added that much time to the project. Do you have or planning a video just on straightening decks. Couldn't really follow you on this one, but would be greatly appreciated by us, your viewer's. Thanks. Peace out and God Bless.😎✌🖖🙏🤝

Rust-oleum "Sun Yellow" is a great match for JD Yellow. It's only 6.95 here in Florida. I actually like it better as it's just a touch deeper yellow.
@robertmcmahon27445 ай бұрын
@@brucer1220 I had wondered about that and bought a can to try out. Sometimes you can't find the Rust-olem JD. One store is at $6.99 a can on up to $12.99 at others. That's within a 10 mile radius.🤔 Safety Yellow looks pretty close too, so i got some of that for a comparison. I heard people prefer the Rust-oleum because it sets up faster and is very durable. That is with proper prep work before hand.
