A definite majority of the shots used in this video were of the men, when this was the time to also spotlight the women's candidates! I know it attracts viewers, but at the cost of less spotlight, less interest, less growth for women in chess. I would propose an equal amount of shots.
@anewfuture
@anewfuture Ай бұрын
If the goal was to bring attention to women's chess, they should have had their tournament separate from the open. Of course the open was always going to eclipse the women. It was a very baffling decision to play the tournaments at the same time.

It's actually this trying to force equality via quotas that is discrimination. If a woman performs at above 2700 she can play the open and will get her coverage

With my full respect to Gukesh and his perfect performance, that white thing in the middle of his head is really annoying. Chess should not be a place to practice religion. By the way, it is the same for the rest of the Indian players. Imagine everyone showing something related to his/her religion, hat, long bear, etc.??

Cope harder. He is free to practice his religion which doesn't interfere with others btw. Anyways, Religion and culture is the life and identity and is bigger than chess. Chess was conceptualised by Hindus anyways.
