La obra fue estrenada en 1805, es la única aportación de Ludwig van Beethoven en el mundo de la ópera. of course jonas kaufmann is not fidelio but Florestan and please listen to jon vickers and julius patzak to discover other forms of achievment. I saw vickers twice in Orange and in PAris. it was deeply moving both by the singing and the acting.
