Hey bud, great add ons and finished product! I have this exact boat now and have a question about the cleats… did you use any special type of screws for the add ons on the yellow part of the boat? I want to add cleats but am not sure if the screws will stay put… any advice? Thanks in advance and congrats on your new boat too!

@@massholetv5353 Thanks for the info - Quick question, the Bimini specs say 73-78" Width, but the boat is about 50" at the midpoint where you mounted it. Even with the additional framing you added I don't see how this works, can you explain? I believe mine is the same boat, but is a Sun Dolphin American12' Jon. They look to be identical boats and made by the same US mfg as the Field & Stream. Also, I like your youtube name MassHole - I am originally from Mass - Fitchburg. So I get it!

I enjoyed this project and the boat while I had it.. By myself I was able to get up to 10mph with the 5hp, with a passenger down to 6mph… 🤙🏾

I had to watch it again you have carved out real piece of fisherman’s paradise. Where did you get all the accessories the canopy seats cup holders etc. The one I’m looking at is just a empty boat. I can’t afford everything at once. I’ll have to buy a piece at a time.

Awesome video! Any tips concerning installing accessory mount tracks into the plastic sides? I’m about to start installing some on mine and have read waterproof rivets and marine silicone are a great approach. I absolutely love the way you have things organized and the overall layout.

I stained the 3/4 wood on both sides before I carpeted it.. It never really got wet on the water and I removed the front and back deck in the winter and stored them indoors.. As far as the Ipad mount, I ended up going with this version, it’s perfect for when I want to post up on an island or anywhere in the boat and move the Ipad from a mounted position to, say the front deck.. Thanks man. I used these bolted to a plywood base I screwed into the bench seat. www.cabelas.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-quick-release-seat-swivel The original plastic benches have a plywood layer underneath them for support.
