The demeanor of soldiers who’ve never seen battle. Remember the good days, and recognize when you’re in them because it will get much worse when things get serious

Completely completely different than The Marine Artillery cannoneer experience I had. Very laid back environment here. Pretty cozy. Meantime. I've been to Korean DMZ, Served there... Extremely Cold. But to be honest nthis does seem to be a lil too laid back in most of these clip's. I know it's different in Marines and Army. But Artillery is surely a Mental focus Game. U gotta be switched on. Alot needs to be done it's a hard working M.O.S. Alot of moving parts Gun line, Trucks, humvees, rifles machine guns howitzers.. gun crews.. F.D.C. Ammo.. forward observer's Etc.. plus running patrol's.. doing Land Nav.. that grunt life is a big part of Field Artillery with security patrol's. It's an Asimetric battle field.. no more front lines type fight like WW2.... The enemy can be everywhere and anywhere.. So those Infantry skills go hand in hand with Field Artillery... Their indespensable. I loved being a Howitzer Gun chief. It was the best job I ever had in my life. Travel.. shoot... Lots of time out doors... Hard work.long days...lil sleep.... Yep Field Artillery cannoneer was a hard Job but was sure a lot of fun too... Keep your focus and always have ur Thinking cap on. Lots and lots of practice this ain't a place for mistakes.. It's a place to always improve.ur in the business of Saving lives By destroying Targets... Because the more targets u destroy the more U.S. troops loves u save .. Get SOME!

I was up on the DMZ after the tree trimming incident! We used Casey as a base and supported the ROK's on the line. We called back to a Marine battery for a fire mission on their side of the line. You know, keepin' them honest. Every so often, they would try to infiltrate across. Damn, I love Ma Deuce! Semper fi bro!

Branched FA in 93. Not the professionalism I remember. Officers don’t curse except when they must. Go read the Officer’s Guide and try to live up to those standards more…doesn’t matter if you were prior service and got used to speaking like that. You are an Officer now.

You’re absolutely right. I am still evolving as an officer and becoming more professional everyday. Thank you.

Just a few days ago a few Covid Restrictions were lifted for Camp Casey (other bases had other restrictions). Yes you can go to different cities. However because of some shenanigans (from other units) Busan for my battalion needs our Battalion Commander's permission to visit.
