Field Fishing (pike, bass); Fishful Thinker TV

We never really detail our filming trips; we hit the road with an area or a few bodies of water in mind and then fish whatever conditions we're dealt when we get there. In this case, we ran into a reservoir that was above flood stage, thus flooding farm fields surrounding the inlet. Given that we always check inlets, outlets, boat ramps and dams, we headed straight to the inlet and ran the big Ranger almost a mile up the inlet ditch from the lake. Turned out those flooded farm fields were full of pike and bass and we had blast power fishing them.
