When I was a kid, my dad and I were playing catch and I missed the ball and it hit me right in the eye. That night we watched Field of Dreams for one reason or another. Then while watching this ending scene, my dad made a joke about catching it with the glove and not your eye. We both laughed til we cried. We both loved this movie. Now, some 30 years later and 13 years since he passed away, I wish for nothing more than to play catch one last time with my dad.

my dad and i never played catch as he was much older than the characters here. He died when I was just barely out of college. But I can so feel the emotions here. And miss the chance to bond with him...or just work in the wood shop again..... but my wife and i played catch and I caught a ball to my eye pre-game.....had to wait until the game was over, and she finished pitching, to go to the emegency room and get stitches

My 22 year son loved this movie...wore out a VHS tape...last year in May 2021 my son came to visit me in Iowa on leave from the Marines. My bucket list item was to one day play catch with him on the field of dreams. and for 45 glorious minutes on May 24th, 2021 we did just that. both of us were awestruck by it. We played catch quite a bit while he grew up, but this was so special. So magical! we brought a bat...I hit him some fly balls and he caught them. then we watch a group of school children play baseball sitting in the bleachers..OMG was so awesome! thanks for posting.

4:04 When Ray said "it was you" A. K. A. Shoeless Joe Jackson was all the way across the field and he turned around "no Ray it was you", So if Joe Jackson can hear Ray say "it was you" at 350 to 400 yards when Ray said "THAT'S MY FATHER" no doubt in my mind Joe Jackson heard Ray say that as he's entering into the corn field. That's why when Ray walked over to introduce himself and his family to his father: RAY'S FATHER WAS STILL YOUNG BEFORE RAY WAS BORN OR HIS FATHER GOT MARRIED TO HIS MOTHER 8:03 A UNBREAKABLE LOVE BETWEEN FATHER AND SON PLAYING CATCH WITH EACH OTHER.

I loved the film Field Of Dreams. One day I was walking past an astrology shop in London England and there was a box of books outside that said Free please take one, I was drawn to a Blue white and yellow cover that turn out to be Field Of Dreams Shoeless Joe. So I took the book and read it. One thing that made me laugh was this copy of Field Of Dreams had been stolen from a prison library, also as soon as I finish reading the book I lost it and I like to think this book had a mission to inspire people. Prison walls could not keep this book in and after it had inspired me it needed to find someone else to inspire! I am working on my last project for my foundation year at Falmouth University Cornwall doing a BA in film and I found this another field of dreams moment.
