This was one of my dad's favorites. I never got to know him as an adult, he passed when I was 12. This one holds a very special place in my heart.

I think the essence of the movie is to convey the beauty of having a prodigal son return home to his father and being forgiven for all that he did to hurt his father. A redemptive, second chance here on earth. A corn field in the middle of Iowa. To have a second chance in life to get it right with someone you love is a wonderful redemptive and powerful that should resonate with each of us.

James Horner was a master at his craft. Aliens & Titanic are also amongst my favorite scores of all time both by James.

One of the greatest thrills in my life was driving cross country from Rochester Ny to LasVegas Nevada and stopping at "Field of Dreams" in Dyersville Iowa and having a catch with my son.

Eitan Ben Dor You're probably correct. Horner was known for lifting from both himself and other composers. Cause for criticism (or lawsuits) these days, but in classical music it was long a common practice, taken for granted; look at Bach. RIP Mr. Horner. I loved so much of your music, Field of Dreams included. Condolences to your family and friends.
